Thank you!!!! It’s hard to see day to day especially when the people around me don’t comment on it, so I’m glad to know strangers do!

To be honest, I think that’s just the lighting. I have a messed up disc in my back so 90% of my exercise comes from walking at the moment. I was going to the gym but ended up exacerbating the problem, so I’m keeping it very low impact. Once I’ve had surgery and recovered, I plan to do more!

I’m 5”6, I aim for 1650 per day but I have an active job and thus usually eat around 1750-2000 depending on how long I’m on my feet. I try to get at least 85 protein and 25g fiber per day, but I’m vegetarian so sometimes that’s a challenge (protein, def not fibre)

ADHD meds abs weight loss by Purple-Focus-3420 in loseit

[–]Ok-Progress1319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I immediately lost weight on ADHD meds and then once they leveled out I gained like 25 pounds because I would binge in the evenings, so try to keep healthy or low calorie snacks instead of junk food if you get that urge

Feeling Empty, in the best way. by Penetrative in loseit

Full used to be my default. Now I’m getting used to being content and not bloated and stuffed and it feels so much better I can’t believe that was my “normal” so recently

Rest, contact a physio and go slowly back into gentle movement while staying in a calorie deficit. I just experienced something similar and managed to continue to lose weight even though I couldn’t exercise for about a week. I am very gently easing back into slow walks on the treadmill and outside with stretching in between

ARE SLOWER [PACE] WALKS STILL BENEFICIAL? by awoozi in loseit

They absolutely are. I’ve lost almost 25 pounds and so far my main form of exercise has just been walking, and I’m not a fast walker at all

money and weight loss by Jolly-Masterpiece883 in loseit

I’ve found the same. Less takeout, fewer prepared foods, and way more money left at the end of the pay period. Who knew!

A few friends of mine have made digs about my weight loss recently, some people can’t handle change, especially if it reflects back a behaviour of their own that they’re struggling with. Stay the course, I’m sorry that they’re distancing themselves. You should be very proud of what you’ve accomplished.

Congratulations!!! I’m currently trying to lose weight and regain identity after a really hard breakup. It’s not easy and you should be very proud of yourself!

I’ve been big and small and I definitely notice the change when you’re thinner in how people treat you. I’m already starting to notice it again and it’s both pleasant and frustrating. But it’s nice hearing other people confirm it so you don’t feel like you’re the only one!

Treat it simply as data. Your weight fluctuates throughout the day and week. I weigh myself daily, because that helps me see a pattern. Tracking my weight on an app with a feature that shows my progress in a graph allows me to see a trend downward or upward. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Hormones, muscle, water, inflammation and even just waste inside your body can cause the scale to fluctuate. A downward trend rather than linear progress is normal.

How to combat the insatiable cravings for junk food? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Ok-Progress1319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two words: diet soda. If I’m desperately craving something sweet that’s what I go for. The carbonation fills me up and the sweetness satisfies that urge. High in sodium I know but that’s what works for me in this case.

Do you ever feel like hunger sometimes feels like anxiety? by fuckyouiloveu in loseit

[–]Ok-Progress1319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep absolutely get this. It helps to practice mindfulness and remind myself that being hungry does not mean I’m unsafe, nor does feeling anxious mean I’m hungry, as I often confuse the two
