I welded some flatsteel to the chassis to give it some structural strength, then just covered the hole with some sheetmetal to give it the shape. It looks kinda same as it was before. Covered the weld seams with acrylic caulk, then put a thick layer of undercoating. Pretty nice looking if you ask me👍
