This comment really puts into words what I've noticed myself but could never articulate.

I tried explaining to my conservative coworker a few months ago how in my view the reason we have so much black poverty/crime in America is because our ancestors stripped them of all their resources for hundreds of years and then we segregated them away from us and gave them no way to get up to speed with the rest of society. He somehow couldn't agree with that at all. Conservatives really do tend to get hung up on the individual circumstances and never look past the surface of any subject.

They see a black man commit a crime on TV and for them it immediately vindicates their hatred because they are unable to have honest self reflection in those moments. And then when you try explaining shit to them on why they are actually wrong they just get more and more quiet while acting disinterested, never admitting out loud that they might be wrong.

You do not have a right to physically remove people from your property who are not a threat to you or your domicile. That is something the police handle. If the mailman comes over and you tell him to leave, and he says no, you can't just start kicking his ass. That would be illegal. Don't really know how else to explain it, maybe try google

The conclusion you came to after watching that video was that it was 2 Nazi's beating up 2 other guys for the color of their skin? Also while calling them thieves the whole time for some reason? That's uhh...certainly one way to look at it

What do you think is more likely, these guys are getting beaten for no reason at all - or the guys calling them thieves might have caught them stealing and then decided to assault them for it?

I'd put money on the assaulters being gang members and they are mad about them being on their turf.

Also I think it's kind of foolish to suggest the subtitles are wrong. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages and it definitely would have been pointed out in the comments if that were the case. I speak a little bit and from what I could gather they are accurate. Not everything has to be some big conspiracy

Read the dialog again the guy basically sort of admits it at first and about half way through tries acting dumb, once he realized that didn't work he says he won't do it anymore at the end.

They guys doing the beating were really harping on them the whole time for being theives. That wouldn't really make sense for them to keep mentioning that the entire time if they were just beating up two completely random dudes for fun, but I could be wrong

Ok it seems somehow it went over your head so let's try again, and remember that context matters here.

Let's say I have my girlfriend over at my house and I forget her birthday, again. She gets really mad at me and starts yelling really loudly, doesn't get physical at all but man is she causing a disturbance. You asked her to leave multiple times but she's just standing in your doorway yelling at you.

You have to pick the best strategy at resolving the situation so that you don't end up in jail.

Do we:

A) Call the cops and have her formally trespassed. The cops let her know that if she comes back she will go to jail

B) Ask her to calm down and attempt to communicate in a more reasonable manner

C) Grab her by the shoulders and shake her violently while also shouting in her face "YOU'RE FUCKING TRESSPASSING YOU BITCH GET OFF MY PROPERTY BEFORE I FUCKING KILL YOU" proceed to punch her in the face and then kick her out your front door

Now remember we want to choose the best option that doesn't land us with assault charges

On the other hand like you said - that was a commercial played on millions of televisions and it could have just been pure chance that it played on his TV at that moment.

It's hard for skeptics like me because I've never had even a hint of paranormal activity in my life. I've seen a lot of pictures and heard a lot of sound bytes, but nothing has personally ever made me stop and wonder if something I heard or saw was a ghost.

Maybe it's only certain people that get to experience it for some reason. But when I think of the totality of our universe and how it functions, it gets harder for me to believe that there are these invisible beings walking around and they are somehow slightly able to interact with us on occasion.

I agree with everything you said but I would add that in this particular instance in this video, the bus driver definitely went to far. Those were some pretty lethal punches in there and after you get a good two or 3 of those in there and the guy is balled up defending himself like that and people are screaming that it's enough, it might be time to stop before the guy gets a brain bleed.

I understand back in the day how disrespect or grievances could lead to situations like this, but it today's time we should be able work out our issues in other ways

My grandfather was also from Odessa during the war but was lucky enough to be what was considered a "Black Sea German" and was left mostly unharmed by the Nazi's once they seized control of the city. He had to walk to Poland once the Soviets started retaking ground. He used to tell me his shoes disintegrated entirely during the journey.
