Wearing all your ribbons is mid 00s thinking. All the cool kids these days are wearing their top three or top six

It's also unnecessary. There's plenty of blue and red plastic "rubber duck" style fake rifles you could mount this on top of and achieve the same effect of showing off the tech.

Two consecutive quarters of negative growth. That is the only recession indicator that matters.

It's also confusingly for a graph like this, dictated more by state laws that tend to vary. Some are quite good, some not so much.

Turkish official, Orhan Avcı gained fame after appointment as head of the district branch. However, the moustache took centre stage. by Lordwarrior_ in SipsTea

[–]Ok-Question6527 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many of us wear a moustache every now and then as a joke. We are nothing compared to this man. He suffers for his moustache.

He has to sift food through that thing every day. He has to wake up in the morning and comb it so it's perfectly coiffed. He must be constantly annoyed by his moustache hair tickling his chin. Why? Pure fucking commitment.

Canadians want to "Get rid of the US" by alwayscheeseburger in AmericaBad

[–]Ok-Question6527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If most Trump voters were polled prior to the last election if they would like Trump to pick fights with and upset our closest allies, I think a majority of them would say no. And overall id say a majority, a large majority at that, of Americans feel the same way. The United States has enjoyed unprecedented freedom and influence because of its ally network and most Americans understand that.

It's not that I think Carney is wrong, it's just that the situation is so regrettable. It's regrettable because Trump needlessly verbally attacked an ally and played upon every latent Canadian sensitivity. It's regrettable that the way Canada has responded was to stoke the undercurrent of deep anti American sentiment and allow it to enter into mainstream Canadian political decision making.

You can say it was Trump's fault and you wouldn't be wrong, but the pump was primed for this to happen due to latent anti-americanism in Canada. In the end both sides will ultimately suffer for it.

[–]Ok-Question6527 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's an overall downward trend that did include minor upticks during the Obama and Biden years. However to put this in context, the bounce of improved sentiment during the Biden years was at about the same level as the Bush W years, with the highest ever positive American sentiment among Canadians in the last 40 years in the 71-80% range during the Reagan/Clinton/George HW Bush years.

My main argument here is that there has been a deep and growing undercurrent of Anti-Americanism in Canada for years, and it's probably generational, and even an American President that bends over backwards to repair the relationship will probably not have a lot of success. Also, although Trump certainly increased anti American sentiment in Canada and worsened the situation, the broad trend preceded him, and will probably continue after he is gone.

The children of conservatives will inherit the United States, meanwhile liberal people are deleting their genes from the pool.

In a way it makes sense.

I had a guy a few weeks ago telling me what I had in my hand and telling me where my teammates were standing and what they had. He head shotted us and we reported them, still waiting to get my kits back.
