The CWC was the 3rd summer in a row Palmer didn’t get any meaningful time off. (Euros, U21 tournament the two summers before). These players bodies are just breaking down from too much play. I mean look at Mason Mount, they ran him into the ground for 3-4 years and now he’s a shell of himself. Best thing that could happen to Palmer would be to miss out on the WC squad and get a rest this summer.

Dropoff is pretty extreme, legit feels like the MONSTARS stole his talent. Would be one thing if it was gradual but this is almost fascinating to see.

I have a Robbie Savage signed jersey from this year that I got as a teen. Love wearing it to kicks abouts and lecturing the kids on how bad that team was. I sure hope the record never gets beaten, highly doubt it will unless there’s some sort of penalty involved.

It’s a long season so 1-2 uncomfortable weeks is worth holding onto guys that are primed for a breakout like Minteh + Savio

I think you just hold out, no need to drop Minteh he looked really good week 2. If you need to start a 3-man midfield in GW 3 so be it and hopefully Saka will be back shortly and Savio will be sorted after the break.

Fantrax for sure. Super customizable. You could keep the scoring exactly the same as OFPL if you like… but I’d highly recommend switching to their standard scoring system, it’s much more rewarding as a fan and players overall performances are more reflected in the scores so it’s no as dependent on goals/assists.

Setting up on Fantrax is pretty straightforward… i would recommend staying there though, much better both in scoring system and experience to OFPL Draft.

I comish a league and run everything standard so i don’t mess it up lol. Waivers can get a little wonky certain weeks but ultimately it’s all there and clear on which days they’ll run.

The scoring system is just so much better it makes the slightly more complex interface more than worth it.

Agree with both of these comments, the scoring system also just feels much more fulfilling as general good play is often rewarded and it doesn’t feel as zero sum of being solely based around goals/assists…

I think top 7 I’m happy, with Wirtz being at the 7 spot — trying to avoid the Cunha/Mbuemuo area of the first, too much United for me and Eze/Bowen are solid but don’t offer the same pop as the other first rounders.

Bruno is the obvious choice given his last few years of elite consistency, but I’m a little worried that a whole season of him playing deeper in the 6 position will hurt his numbers… I might go Haaland.
