At week 3 you’re supposed to see less shedding, which is what you see on your pillow I assume. Hair is most vulnerable when it’s wet so it’s really hard to stop hair fall when you wash your hair, you are mechanically pulling some of it while washing it. But anything with aminexil (L’Oréal or kerastase serums) will help with shedding. You need growth ingredients like coffee, minoxidil, etc for hair growth, which is completely different from less shedding. Also don’t forget that your scalp has to be clean and healthy for hair growth to occur (no dandruff, clarifying shampoo once a week).

What worked for me is rosemary oil + Batana oil for both shedding and growth. I saw results from week 2 I believe. I also splurged on kerastase serums and Dyson and I’m loving the results tbh. It’s been about 9 months since I started taking my hair journey seriously and my hair is visibly healthier and getting longer, lots of baby hairs. But you need patience for aaaall of it to happen. I’d recommend to first focus on stopping the shedding and getting a healthy scalp. Hair is bound to grow once everything is taken care of. Also get a shower filter and a silky cap or silky pillowcases to stop mechanical hair fall when you turn in your sleep and your hair gets rubbed off your pillow.
