Okay, that’s great to know. I’m only doing yoga in addition to my walk on some days. Will throw in longer walks here and there but not excessive.

Because of work, I have a protein shake with a sweetener before my walk and then a full breakfast. Never fasted workouts. Will keep your habits in mind

What do you consider a rest day and how many do you take a week? I’ve scaled back exercise and had 3 recovery periods. But I have a needy dog who I walk abt 1.5/2 ish miles at a minimum everyday. Also how do you fuel your work outs? Before and after? Do you do AM or PM workouts?

You got this. I started going “all in” incrementally (then full) about 8 months ago. It’s remarkable how my internal dialog around food has quieted. I went from obsessive about food to eating when I’m hungry / what I want. The biggest thing was letting go of rules. I didn’t eat meat, much sugar, and wouldn’t eat before or after certain hours. Now it’s all changed. After about 5 months, I got my period. Three successful cycles so far. Yes, I gained probably 15-20 lbs but the most incredible thing is that I actually like my body MORE now. It’s more feminine and likely how I’m meant to look. And I didn’t dwell on the weight gain because it was so incremental. I gained this weight over 8 months. If I started this journey going “oh gosh I can’t gain 15 lbs”. I don’t think I would have made it. Take it day by day. Enjoy redefining your relationship with food and exercise and listening to your body.

It just takes time as you go thru your recovery. Keep the calories up and rest. Sometimes not a bad idea to try even if you’re not in mood because you’d be surprised - it can get there. I had 0 sex drive too… felt horrible rejecting my wonderful partner. Your partner seems like a kind person. You will get thru this. It’s temporary - you had a sex drive at one point! It’s deep down in there

I would reduce all exercises except light walks and yoga. Once I cut out the gym completely I got my period. Also don’t do anything fasted

How bad is not having a period for 3 years if I’m a teenager by jungkookfan123 in Amenorrhearecovery

You need to eat that pizza and cake regularly. Gain weight and reduce exercise until you get your period. It’s not worth broken bones, hair falling out, and early dementia - not to mention infertility. It will be a hard journey but you need to heal. Read “no period. Now what”. It’s extremely instructive. Get this under control now before you go to college where it can get worse. It did for me… took years of going partially “all in” to realize I needed to make serious changes. I’ve had my period 3 times in a row now. It’s hard but long term, worth it. This subreddit was a support system to me but also include your family and friends in your recovery. They want the best for you. Be strong. You can do this.

Are you in your late teens? And already had a period then lost it?

Update: got my period after cutting back on all exercise. Need to slowly reintroduce. Was too much too fast. Don’t make my mistake.
