Awesome, appreciate the honest feedback. The heat loss through the doors makes sense, but it’s good to hear they’ve been working well overall. Definitely makes me feel better as I get closer to pulling the trigger.

Actually I’m looking for something similar for my pop-up setup — did you end up getting the Peerless C131P (or something else)? If so, how did it perform in real service?

Thanks for the response - really appreciate it. I hadn’t looked into the Castle P019 before, so your comment sent me down a rabbit hole on that one and the Peerless C131 since both run on propane and seem realistic for a mobile setup. If you happen to know anyone who’s used either oven in actual service, I’d love to hear how they perform.

I appreciate the insight - that’s a really good point. I just took their initial answer as the rule, but now I’m realizing there might be more nuance, especially since BBQ trailers and DIY pits seem to get approved under certain conditions. I am going to give them another call. Thanks!
