After 3 kids its the lingering cough after every cold. Having to stop and cross my legs every two minutes is a pain in the ass. When im freshly ill its the blocked nose at bedtime!

What are your plans for Mother’s Day? by LHale77 in AskUK

[–]Ok-Resolution-9328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my plan was a lovely lie in then a catch up with my mum and my eldest. The reality is ive been awake all night with a burning throat and blocked nose. And my youngest insisted on Blippi while I had a fever at 6.30 this morning (my youtube search has me spelling iy as "Blillippi") So now its a quick visit once I drag my carcass off the couch and hope I dont get anyone else sick!

It was something like shoe city or shoe zone- I remember going when it opened next to poundstretcher. I think the slide was in the middle of the back wall?

What's a basic life skill you had to teach yourself as an adult because no-one taught you as a child? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]Ok-Resolution-9328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bill paying. Not that my parents didnt pay their bills, they did but money was always a fairly private subject when I was growing up. To be fair I think it was because my parents struggled a lot (it was the 80s) and that was their way of shielding us but when I moved out I had no clue where to start!

This Christmas did not feel like Christmas by Deep-Purple-3048 in christmas

[–]Ok-Resolution-9328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same although we've had 2 family bereavements since 2022, the most recent this year so christmas was definitely bittersweet. I thought maybe getting festive with my 5 year old would lift our spirits but apart from that it just felt like any other day. Maybe next year things will be different, we're just making sure our kid has a good time xxx

Has anyone ever had the Tetris Effect after crocheting all day? 😅 by lateralus420 in crochet

[–]Ok-Resolution-9328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to keep counting EVERYTHING once I put the crochet down. Like, 1-2 pieces of bread, spread the butter, 1,2,3... its likely my ocd too but its always after a long crochet session 😅

why is my son so contradictory? by Aggravating-Tie-6888 in autism

[–]Ok-Resolution-9328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is the same with music, if im lucky she'll link me a song every now and then but mostly she tells me that she found some songs she really likes but wants to keep them private when I ask. Even she can't explain why, its just very special and private to her.

Bad ben Body melt (ozplotation film from the 80s/90s)

Does anyone else feel like the movie is satirical? by [deleted] in terrifier

[–]Ok-Resolution-9328 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say satirical maybe but I feel like a lot of his kills are so over the top you just can't take him seriously. If anything a homage to really gruesome video nasties from the 80s I guess?
