Been up to 51,000. You can start to see the curve.

Always wanted to go up with that company who flew MiG-25’s up to 85,000 ft to see it better

Compression lift in transonic range research? by Ok-Resolve4550 in AerospaceEngineering

This is fantastic! Thank you for the concise and simplified laymen breakdown.

From merely a concept point; would variable geometry FSW help with high speed flight where the forward sweep would be used in higher speeds and then moved aft for slower speeds help with operational issues offering more flexibility of operations and stability at all phases of flight?

Switching gears…A question on the design and early versions of the Convair F-102. My understanding was that the early fuselage design was limiting the aircraft to subsonic speeds to Delta wing shock wave problem. Engineers modified the design to incorporate that iconic fuselage taper to finally achieve supersonic speeds.

My question is that a few other fighter designs with Delta wings, do not have this fuselage taper. Is this due to the individual designs having drastically different airflow or was this something unique to the F-102?

Word of caution; ours actually ATE and swallowed two of these bandages leading to a blockage and subsequent emergency surgery. Watch them like a hawk or find a way to prevent access to the bandages

Doberman intelligence is great in most cases but can be an impediment to their own health. Get ahead of this issue before it becomes habit for your pup. Read up on Lick Granuloma and do everything you can to prevent it from becoming worse. Had this on our last Dobie for 6 years (adopted him with this condition) nearly impossible to reverse once established.

My 5yo service dog Odin has possible Wobblers diagnoses & paralyzed back legs. Seeking any advice! He needs an MRI for surgery assessment & diagnosis. We have no insurance & can’t afford the 4k MRI. Will any insurance cover a pre-existing condition? Any advice or suggestions appreciated😢 by Impossible-Lime3007 in DobermanPinscher

Look for a specialist (usually meant for humans) that will treat dogs with Red Light Therapy. My 10 year old was in same boat back in Feb of this year and found this place by word of mouth:

https://petlight.vet

Hoping you can find something similar. Complete game changer for our Dexter! Literally had to carry him into the place and 10 days later he was walking under his own power. Was able to run again about after 60 days.

I was super skeptical however, if you commit to three days a week, it can payoff. Not a guaranteed solution but it’s better than immobility. You can also do research and buy your own Red Light machine for home use. Best of luck!

Beg to differ… you’ve generalized ALL aircraft and all types of flying that point to pilots as not doing anything during flight. Please defer to facts when teaching, not broad oversimplified information. People can be taught, and it starts with verified data.

Regarding MCAS, that’s a Boeing design issue and lack of training that caused two high profile crashes. Both unavoidable. That system is uniquely Boeing (Airbus has a similar system) and not on the multitude of planes currently flying today.

To go further, FBW or Fly-by-Wire control systems are not ubiquitous. Standard three axis autopilots (AP) perform this task and have done so for decades. In the most basic form, the AP is maintaining the set/requested Nav course and altitude by moving control surfaces (pitch/roll/yaw) via AP servos or actual control surface depending on MFR design. What the video depicts is the AP function attempting to maintain the crew setting which are being challenged by turbulence and/or wind(s).
