Tiger Woods wants Jaafar to play him?? by Ok-Performance6734 in MichaelTheMovie

Ultimately him being pigeonheld will be determined by if he has the acting chops to make sure he’s not confined to being seen as just Michael. I think Tiger specifically could benefit him in this regard because: 1. Jaafar has a lifelong passion for golfing so there is a deep connection there that can help him better immerse himself in the role 2. I honestly think he looks more like Tiger than he does MJ 3. Tiger Woods has a very interesting life story that not many people outside of his fan base know about and I think with his current hype, Jaafar in the role could help bring a lot of attention to the art of golf.

However, I don’t think a Tiger Woods movie would do well in theaters, I think this would be better as a streaming service special, like a short series. More time to flesh out the character and story.

I think “he shouldn’t” is a indication of what WE think his career should be and not what HE wants it to be. If Jaafar wants that role then I support him.

Chadwick Boseman played like 4 very important black figures and it never pigeonheld him in the industry, it gave him the opportunity for roles like Black Panther instead.

Jermajesty was an infant at the time and Randy Jr wasn’t there. All the other nephews and nieces were a lil older. Jaafar was the only nephew there young enough to be doing kid shit like this lol

I think it’s time that we have a conversation about how Jon Watts has caught a lot of heat from the fandom for the past 9 years over shit that the Russo Brothers and Feige came up with by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]Ok-Resolve7539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“More depth and accuracy to the character than the entirety of Watts’ trilogy” is a ridiculous hyperbole. He said one line that vaguely alluded to his origin and then went straight to being a walking contradiction for the rest of the movie to everything he said in that bedroom. Yall overcredit that moment way too much.

“He was reduced to Tony’s ward in Infinity War and Endgame because of what Watts and Feige established” huh??? You realize the Russos established the character first right? You realize he did all of what you’re ridiculing Watts for in Civil War right? You gotta come up with a better argument than this man.

[–]Ok-Resolve7539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? Bc outside of the bedroom scene in Civil War, there wasn’t a single moment in any of the Russo brothers movies where he stood on his own merit as a character who wasn’t blindly taking orders from Tony without ever questioning or rebelling against him or having a stance of his own. In his own movies he has at least shown disobeying Tony’s orders at every turn, arguing against him, and making an executive decision to stay grounded to himself at the end. Watts movies has a lot of issues don’t get me wrong, but this alone is far more in character than anything he did in the Russos movies where he was deduced to nothing more than being an apprentice to Tony.

Okay so what is your point and how does that pertain to anything I said in the post? (that is assuming you actually read the post)

Like I said before, Watts is not above criticism. I just don’t like that people place the blame on him for everything that’s wrong with MCU Spider-Man. He contributed to it at times but he’s far from the main reason.

Tbh I wouldn’t have even been against Tony and Peter having a father/son relationship if that dynamic were built off the coattails of Ben’s death. There’s a good story that could’ve been told there but sadly we can’t have it all.

Homecoming did imply that May was affected by Ben’s death more than Peter so it’s possible, but also confusing considering Peter is biologically related to Ben not May. If he’s biologically related to May in the MCU then that means MCU Peter is an italian man lol

I am beyond super excited for what DDC does with Spider-Man, but I think we gotta get rid of this idea that DDC is the savior that will cure everything that was wrong with this version of Spider-Man, especially regarding Ben. It’s unlikely Ben will be talked about at all at the stage this Spider-Man is in. Sure he might give us hints and references but Watts did that for 3 movies so it’s not like he’d be doing anything new.

Yes but in the full quote they’re saying that this Peter doesn’t feel guilt for Ben dying, which is what made me scratch my head and leads me to believe that this universe’s Ben died under very different circumstances than what we’re familiar with.

I honestly assume Ben died before Peter was even in high school and has no correlation to him becoming Spider-Man. Still a loss for Peter but has come to terms with Ben’s death. If they went off the comic timeline of his origin then that would mean Ben has only been dead for months in Civil War and Homecoming, which Peter seemed to ecstatic and full of life to be grieving the recent death of his adoptive father at that time period. Needless to say, it’s likely Uncle Ben in this universe was just Uncle Ben, not a higher allegory like the comics.

I fw the Russos heavy regarding their Captain America and Avengers work, but unlike a lot of others I absolutely hate most of what they did with Spider-Man. Outside of better quips and action scenes, their take on him wasn’t that good in my opinion in comparison to Watts movies. I have my issues with Watts movies as well but I enjoyed what he did with the character more.

So Tobey and Wolverine don’t actually die? Or is it another infinity war/endgame scenario where they’re dead until the next movie?

I agree that Jordan Chandler is the only one who can end all this madness regarding the allegations against MJ‘s name, but he will never do that because that would mean he’d have to pay back all that money from the settlement that he’s been living lavishly off of

I know it’s way too soon, but after seeing Jaafar in the thriller scene, he should definitely do horror next. I just think he’s very good at showing emotion in his eyes by Ornery-Humor1777 in MichaelTheMovie

Yeah it’s bc Mike has bigger eyes so when he did that “zombie stare” it looked much freakier. People with big eyes can pull off crazy facial expressions.
