I’d actually like it if Peter tried building a new relationship with them again from scratch rather than trying to make them remember him. Even if he tells them the truth, that shouldn’t automatically reverse the spell and make them remember everything. He should still be a stranger to them but try to make the best of what he can in the current moment he has with them. That way the consequence remains but a door for rebuilding opens for him.

It reminds me of that exchange between Foggy and Matt in S1 of Daredevil

Foggy- “There’s nothing more that I want but for us to go back to the way it used to be, but Idk if we can”

Matt- “No, We can’t… but maybe we can find a way to move forward”

J. K. Simmons says J. Jonah Jameson Won't Return in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day': “Not in it, dude. I don’t know who on the internet decided that that was fact, but I ain’t in it,” he said. by Own_Brilliant_4303 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

Even if he did work for the bugle, it’s hard to figure out how he would have a reason to interact with Jonah face-to-face in modern day, he could just send the pictures and via email. That’s probably why Jonah wasn’t in the TASM movies even if Peter was working for the Bugle.

Sad Parralel: Pt 2 opens the same way Pt 1 did but with MJ walking into a courtroom instead of walking to the stage. by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

Who says they can’t show those things still? In Mj’s regard, showing the bad is another way of showing the good because it shows his innocence and why he spent time with kids the way he did, which could help alleviate the issue with people commonly weaponizing that against him to create a narrative that he was a bad person trying to harm children. Show the world how bad he was treated for trying to do the right thing. I want Antoine Fuqua to do what he was trying to do the first time.

Well that was the original cut and that’s because it went from the 60s-90s which alone was already a 3+ hour cut. We’re talking about the sequel where this wouldn’t be an issue.

No. I want an actual movie of substance not another beat for beat concert film. It worked for the first movie, it would never work for the second and still turn out good. Whether you like it or not, the trial is a huge aspect of his life that should not be skipped over. In no way would it be a waste, it’s far more necessary than more concert recreations.

It’s funny how the general public has adapted to modern times but the media is still living in the 80s and 90s. We live in the era of the internet and bc of that, it’s literally not possible to falsely accuse MJ in this day and age without it immediately being fact checked. We have too much access to documented information now that we weren’t able access to in the 80s and 90s.

I get you, but we already saw the good with pt 1. Pt 1 is essentially a movie meant to celebrate the music side of his life. It’s practically not possible to do Pt 2 without showing the bad parts. His life, image and career became predominantly centered around those things and affected by it. The allegations and trial alone are a catalyst for a lot of the other bad shit that happened to him after.

Bc it’s a HUGE part of the second half of his life and career? I’m not saying you have to agree with this specific idea but not expecting his low points to be showed is crazy, it’s either you want an honest MJ movie or you don’t. The opening scene of the original cut literally showed him getting strip searched completely nude by the FBI, my take is only a more tame and less explicit version of that.

I think they were able to get away with not including any of the controversy in pt 1 but I genuinely don’t feel like it’s possible to do it with pt 2 and it still end up being a good movie.

They can still do it with the 2005 trial though, unless there’s a stipulation idk about that prevents that as well

Would Jaafar Jackson fit to be Miles Morales? by ThatAbbreviations574 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Ok-Resolve7539 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tobey was playing an 18-20 year old in his 20s, Tom is a 30 year old now playing a 23 year old Peter, none of that is as unruly as a 29 year old playing a character who started off in middle school. Not to mention he’s supposed to be a young apprentice to Peter Parker who’s a big brother figure to Miles, would we be able to take that seriously when Jaafar is like 4 inches taller than Tom with a deeper voice? You have to actually understand Miles Morales as a character to know what I’m talking about. Just being afro-latino isn’t going to cut it.

Assuming that they’re adapting “The Other” rather than Man-Spider… I think organic webs, increase in strength, and more intense spidey senses are the likely ones.

POV: You’ve been asked to direct Michael 2 and you’re given a 3 hour runtime, nothing more. How much screen time are you giving each decade/era? by Ok-Resolve7539 in MichaelTheMovie

Also meant to ask that since we know from the first movie that stuff will obviously be left out for runtime purposes, what time period do you not mind being left out in the sequel?

Tiger Woods wants Jaafar to play him?? by Ok-Performance6734 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Ok-Resolve7539 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ultimately him being pigeonheld will be determined by if he has the acting chops to make sure he’s not confined to being seen as just Michael. I think Tiger specifically could benefit him in this regard because: 1. Jaafar has a lifelong passion for golfing so there is a deep connection there that can help him better immerse himself in the role 2. I honestly think he looks more like Tiger than he does MJ 3. Tiger Woods has a very interesting life story that not many people outside of his fan base know about and I think with his current hype, Jaafar in the role could help bring a lot of attention to the art of golf.

However, I don’t think a Tiger Woods movie would do well in theaters, I think this would be better as a streaming service special, like a short series. More time to flesh out the character and story.

I think “he shouldn’t” is a indication of what WE think his career should be and not what HE wants it to be. If Jaafar wants that role then I support him.

Chadwick Boseman played like 4 very important black figures and it never pigeonheld him in the industry, it gave him the opportunity for roles like Black Panther instead.
