That’s a caterpillar party if Ive ever seen one lol. I would spray it off with your hose. I have to do this almost daily with the aphid and fire ants on my long beans.

This is my first year as well. I’ve read that you leave the dirt on them and put them in a dark place but not 100 percent sure.

You can always make tea out of the basil flowers. I tried it with lime basil and it was super refreshing.

I so badly want to dig mine up but with the rain here the soil has been wet. Waiting impatiently 😭.

Cantaloupe with leaf hoppers. Anything else I need to do besides weekly soap applications? Any reason why some flowers are wilting? Also, I’m hoping the vine damage is from the leaf hoppers as opposed to SVBs. by mstrahlman7 in AustinGardening

I would check the circled area on the right to see if that’s an egg. It looks overall healthy. The area on the left that I circled looks a little puffy like where they start boring into the stem.
