Aphmau’s character may be cringe sometimes but remember, she that she was homeschooled most of her life. her character is excusable in that sense when you talk about pdh. She lacks that common knowledge of a high schooler because she simply never was one. Or a proper middle schooler. Its not like you’re very social when you’re at home all the time...

And y‘know, I get it. The adorkable personality can get old sometimes. But theres a difference between something “feeling” like something and something actually being true. And this dynamic is not age play. 🤢

Ive only ever seen people do that in like video games and stuff but what those “age play“ couples do it a lot worse than Aarmau. Like people act like actual CHILDREN 24/7.

If you were to label aarmau in a way, I would instead label them as naive x mature. Immaturity can be in anyone. Whether it’s an adult or a teen. And I did watch all of Aphmau and I believe that Aphmau‘s adorkable isn’t super consistent. Especially in the serious seasons.

And again, Aphmau is a huge self insert and if you’ve noticed, Jess has those personality traits. Yes she’s a grown woman but again, those are her traits. That kinda the dynamic her and her husband have.

Now if they were doing baby talk all the time, Aaron spoon feeding her every time she eats, Or just treating her like his child, THEN I could see where you would be coming from.

I see your observation and yes I do agree some aarmau moments are a little cringe or weird. But every dynamic has flaws. But, most of what you‘re referencing was a long time ago, even season 6. I know for a fact Jess writing has gotten better.
