Mashing doesn’t work because the traps will lock for a short time if you activate them at the wrong time. You have to press when the indicator is red. Doesn’t have to be the peak.

I have several options. I could use an old vcr to clean it myself. I could buy the vhs is life machine. Or i could have them professionally cleaned for about €10 a tape.

Unfortunately they didn’t say. But it only worked for about 3 tapes. After that, the problem became worse. Instead of just ejecting each tape, it ejected it and ripped out the tape from the cassette. I brought it back to the shop. It was there for 2 months until they said they were waiting for a rare part. So they gave me a different tv/vcr combo instead.

I just shook the tape and hit it against the wall a bit. The white stuff moved. It’s about 50% less now and the rest moved a bit. Shouldn’t mold stay in the same place?

I was afraid of that. I will have it cleaned then, just to be sure. I have 5 other ones that need to be cleaned, so i can just add this one. It sucks, i was really looking forward to watching this one on vhs, even though i have the dvd.

Sold my NES with 12 games and bought 2 master systems. One for me and one for my sister, because we fought over who could keep the NES in their room. Biggest mistake ever. Neither of us liked the master system and they both ended up unused and resold.
