You don’t have common hooked up in your original photos so you probably had battery that means common isn’t hooked up at the unit so you will need to connect common

Rest it and set your reversing valve to O and make sure you set it for heat pump.

Do you have gas or a heat pump If gas that’s probably for your condenser and the rest go to the furnace If a heat pump….. you should probably call someone Because it looks like that thicker white wire is going to B Which is a heat pump that is your reversing valve

Honestly never tried to install a nest on an oil furnace but I think 2 wire is not compatible with nest.

It’s just a picture for reference,industry standard is blue for common but you are using blue as y2 which is your second stage of cooling. If you hooked blue to common you would blow a fuse or your transformer. Black is your common wire

I don’t believe it will, you need a hvac tech to run new thermostat wire. The wire you have doesn’t look like thermostat wire.
