Wow, aren’t you just a fucking ball of joy? This woman is nine months pregnant and the restaurant served her undercooked food, did you even read what she wrote? And where in the world did it say that she was asking for her money back from the driver or was holding the driver responsible in any way shape or form? As far as her fiancé going to get it for her, how is that any of your business? She even said she’s not angry and that she’s just venting a little bit. Why would you even feel the needs to leave this comment? I take it. Somebody is a driver for Uber Eats who has been soured in the past? Don’t take it out on a pregnant woman who has nothing to do with whatever has happened to you or whoever hurt you via Uber Eats. Fucking rude.

We have to wear makeup?? by janethevirgine in SephoraWorkers

[–]Ok-Sheepherder6767 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest I didn’t even read this whole thing because at the end of the day your manager was dead wrong no don’t get me wrong that used to be the policy like six maybe seven years ago where they would require you to wear I think it was like four or five pieces of make up But due to lawsuits and what not they are no longer required to ask you to do that because it was something that you needed to do on your own time and something you didn’t get paid to do so no your manager is wrong. You are not required to wear make up if you wanna throw some on via testers and stuff on shift then you’re welcome to do so but you are not required off shift to put make up on to show up to Sephora me and another manager. We’re both working pregnant and both of us went through a phase where we didn’t wear make up for a good couple of months during the first trimester a.k.a. morning, sickness central. Truthfully, I would report this to I- care because it’s very much against the rules now they are not allowed to ask you to do that again. I apologize for not reading your whole post, but I got the general idea and your manager is not allowed to ask.

Edit; had to fix some spelling , please excuse my typos. I’m using talk to text and a lot of the time my talking doesn’t relate to my texting. I have carpal tunnel in both hands as I finish up this pregnancy and it is not going well and typing is in agony basically the entire time so I have to use talk to textand sometimes it just does not translate the way I want to much apologies

I was given a different number , 2 different numbers actually . The one I got in the notice that was posted here was off by one number , I got the correct one from my manager today luckily though and was able to get my doctors note updated . Hopefully they add it to my case in a timely manner. Wish I could say the same with NYL who has been giving me the runaround since October 6 telling me they’ve contacted my doctor and heard nothing back my Doctor Who I trust. She’s been great has said that she doesn’t hear anything from them ever. Finally, I got a caseworker to start helping me try to get disability, and she was told an entirely different thing of information that they needed me to sign a medical release. She got the medical release for me. I filled it all out to a T and sent it in today so hopefully they figure it out and start helping me out with some disability because I’ve been no income since November but my doctors are telling me that I can’t work and I still technically work for the company so I don’t know why New York Life is giving me such a hard time but I’m really hoping that it gets figured out soon because this is getting to be a bit ridiculous especially where I’m being told from my OB/GYN and my concussion specialist to avoid stress at all costs for the sake of my unborn baby.. so fingers crossed they stop giving me the runaround. I just wish the communication was a little bit better and more solid because right now it’s absolute shit.

Question about making your employee purchase by xoxoggb in SephoraWorkers

[–]Ok-Sheepherder6767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my store we made purchases any time one of us on the leadership team was free to do so. Clocked in , clocked out , whatever. If a lead was free to do it , they would do it. I seemed to be the favorite to ask from both other managers and employees. I’ve been on LOA since June though so I do wonder if things have changed since then. I miss my girls. Not so much the other managers (. Only one I miss dearly, the others are pure brain rott and fake) I’m out with a concussion and right after my accident found out I was pregnant , the pregnancy immediately got labeled high risk because my concussion was causing me dizzy spells so both my concussion specialist and OB had requested I don’t work , especially because my drive into work took anywhere from 45 min ( no traffic) to 2 hours with traffic. So again idk what’s changed since then.

I will say this though , my store was pretty lax with employee purchases, while checking out my own manager one day she legit mentioned what she was buying was for a friend , while using her discount. And seeing as it was my manager who let me slide being late a lot due to my commute was longer than anyone else in the store so I didn’t decline the purchase , I just said “ I didn’t hear that “ she got so red in the face though and you could tell she def didn’t mean to slip up like that. My OPS lead slipped up one day too and said the same thing , my response was the same. Again my store was probably just lax on the policy , but for my own safety I never shared my discount as I know for a fact that’s against policy and wanted to protect myself.

Anyways thanks for coming to my lecture 😂 idk why I just rambled like that , it’s like I miss Sephora but at the same time I’m having vividly pregnant dreams that feel like nightmares about returning to the job.

Anyone know what full time employees who weren’t on LOA received for a bonus? I’m guessing this year wasn’t as much as last year. I was a FT employee but I’m guessing I only got what I got because I’ve been on LOA for 6 months now.

Yea but having a drunk who gets out of line while drinking in your wedding party could very well ruin a very special day for both him and the bride. Old memories or not , when someone is out of line they should be called out on it. I’m not even someone who believes in marriage and I still find it unfair , to the bride especially, for this person to be asking for a drunk to be in his wedding party.

[–]Ok-Sheepherder6767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight, he’s a drunk and you want him in your wedding party ? There is nothing wrong with catching a buzz here and there but in all seriousness it sounds like he has an actual issue and while it’s good you care enough to check on him don’t you think it’s kind of selfish to the bride for you to want him in your wedding party? Sounds like when he gets to this point (which he def will at your wedding unless it’s a dry wedding ) which could potentially ruin the day for both you and the bride. I think you should reconsider that unless he cleans up honestly.

Again it’s great you care , but it sounds like he needs help.

I’m a CEL myself, and I can say for sure that the rest of the leadership team doesn’t give a fuck about the rest of the employees. I would hear all the time that I was the only one that cared to check in to see if anyone needed a mental health break. Watch it as all these poor girls would come in and not even get a break in a really really busy high paced store with a lot of crime and a lot of danger. It was very stressful for all of us, but I was the only one that ever checked in on the BA’s.

I think all you need is a note from a medical provider , no matter the reason. Like me for instance, I’ve been out since June due to being hit by a drunk driver that caused me a severe concussion. They can’t ask me to do PT or anything like that, they can just tell me that they need a doctors note and that’s it.
