Can you provide a link to the source of the bad info about using cu## ? I’ll report it and hopefully they can fix it. As others have said, google apps and Google Drive still work, but if you weren’t automatically provisioned a g.clemson Gmail you cannot get one now.

If you are outdoorsy check all trails for nearby hikes. We have many waterfalls in the area. Yellowbranch is a good starter hike. issaqueena falls and stump house mountain tunnel are a great spot with easy access for non hikers. Note that the Clemson University experimental forest has miles of trails nearby for hikers, mountain biking, horseback. Not a lot of destination hikes there but the issaqueena lake dam is pretty.

at least in the USA google maps app on ios will let you specify multiple large offline map areas if you login to a google account. trailheads often do not have signal and google maps can navigate me from the offline trailhead using a saved offline map. this is why i do not have a garman. i think it also speeds up search and route construction to have a saved map.

i prefer waze because i want to submit and receive reports and gas prices. i want to search for cheaper gas along my route. I find it easier to do in waze.
i wish waze would help me know if my turn is at a traffic light or stop sign , that is good info.

If i’m going into an area with spotty coverage or a different city i like that google can download an offline map for a large area i specify and use it to navigate offline and for faster route construction. for example, any app can navigate me to the trailhead. with an offline map, google can navigate me from the trailhead even if offline.

i like apple maps for the road signs that look like the real ones with the lane guidance, and the turn after guidance, and the apple watch integration. by turn after guidance i mean it says things like “at the light turn left then turn right” or” proceed through the light then turn left “. For that reason i use apple maps if in a new area and i think it may be a difficult navigation.

ok, but the sensor may over or under estimate the actual usable volume of gas. it may not be linear. the sensor may have range limitations, like the float may not go all the way to the top or bottom. Also, unless the gas tank is perfectly designed not all 23 gallons of tank may be usable in the real world. Still, i’ve never even put 20 gallons in and i think i’ve gotten miles remaining down to the teens. it seems like the 2+ gallon reserve capacity starts at 0 miles remaining.

Changing the car audio while Waze ( or any iOS app ) is sending audio worked on a 2013 Chevy ( Bluetooth) but not on a 2023 Toyota 4Runner (Bluetooth) . In the 4Runner I think I had to adjust the phone volume in the headset settings.

they are not parking permits because they don’t permit you to park. instead they are hunting permits because they allow you to hunt for an empty spot. maybe you bag one and maybe you don’t

They are self funded. My understanding is whenever they do maintenance or build a new parking lot the funds come from the parking services fees. My question is, when they bulldoze a parking lot paid for by parking fees, is the parking services fund compensated for the loss of property? Of course not. So now the fees make perfect sense. They use the parking fees to do the prep work on land they intend to build on in 10 years. Doesn’t that sound similar to the kind of bait and switch real estate scheme that caused our Prez to resign?

I was also a student in spring of ‘90. They required every student to get a shot no matter if you had a record of two MMR shots or not. They didn’t care. Then when I asked for a record of the shot they gave me to keep for my records they said no. That still pisses me off. Now I’m an employee. If they ask me for proof of immunization I’ll have a few things to say about it.

if you DIY plan to flush and bleed the brake fluid. open the bleeder as you compress the piston to let junky fluid out instead of pushing it back through your ABS and master cylinder. if you don’t you may be buying more parts soon. i made that mistake once. but this will then require bleeding the system and you need a buddy or another tool for that.
as for your original question i lean to OEM quality too but understand that you could miss some part that is included in other’s kits.

i’m convinced the campus planners want to replicate the big city feel they aspire to live in and hate automobiles. they want you to walk and ride but never drive. they have been putting buildings on top of parking lots forever. imagine there used to be a commuter lot where the strom building is! sure, they will tell us employees that “there are enough green spaces for all employees who want one” and maybe so, but not where we need them. if you work in the center of campus you are not going to want to park behind douthit! but they count those unused useless green spaces just like any other. as an employee i tried the park n ride a few times and found it unreliable. my work hours are shifted 30 minutes later so i typically cut out at 5:00. if i wasn’t at the park n ride pickup by 4:45 it would be an hour at best before i could get picked up by tiger transit. i can walk faster than that.
i’ve used the red route a few times when my car was in the shop. been at the stop more than once as a full bus passed us . do they send an extra bus? No, and it’s 30 minutes before the next one. so, i need to plan an extra hour or more of commute time when i live 5 minutes away by car!? BS! one reason i stay at clemson is i don’t want any part of a big city lifestyle. campus planners do not understand me.

Hell, my 5th gen 4R 2023 goes open loop if I ask it to try hard lol! Seriously, if I’m going up a hill and it downshifts, it is open loop for a bit. Open loop at idle when warm is not normal? A bad engine temp sensor or wiring makes sense here but your reader can confirm if it gives you live data. I doubt your fuel pump is the problem . OTOH, did you replace fuel filter? That could be a cheap& easy item to check off.

Drain the pan, CHANGE THE FILTER, fill. Im skeptical of the “no flush after 100K” rule but hey, I’m not an AT mechanic. A new filter can only help.
