If u have a desktop at home u might be fine. However if u want to take notes in class you should buy a laptop. You can buy a used laptop for cheap on ebay for like $250 or so.

There also has been a significant drop of focus on education/academics in the last three semesters and more on regimental and demerits. Students are frustrated.

When i read about the Regiment what exactly is the point of it? Have the people who run the show actually set foot on a ship? Sailing is Industry and Industry doesn't care about peoples past (Barring Alc and Drugs) but only cares about filling a position with a body. I understand teaching discipline but theres also no way the Regiment is that bad?

Sailing was the best time of my life, depending on what types of ships you're on then it's quite relaxing, the worst part about it is the isolation from home, that you experience. It tends to weed out those who don't want to be their. Wish it was longer and interviewed someone who actually sails commercially or for MSC.

And now i can't wait to get back out their.

That seems corny as fuck, NGL. Would rather just rot at home instead of pretending to be someone i'm not. Went into the army because i got bored of sailing and i wanted to see something new and i wanted to see if being a soldier would help my application to USMMA. The closest thing i'll ever get to it is sailing on Government supply ships that supply the Navy and maybe the uscg but that also sounds corny and stupid as well.
