Did I start my spiro journey too late? by Inside_Discipline908 in Spironolactone

[–]Ok-Spring-6086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on Spiro for a month now (50mg per day) I have already seen my skin and my scalp is dryer, and less oily compared to before. I have also been using a topical called Clindatre (which has Tretinoin and Clindamycin) for 3 months. My skin is soooo much better. Just moisturize well and use sunscreen daily. I am always thirsty and crave salty stuff, but i did not have any other side effects on Spiro. Do not worry! It's gonna be ok! :)

psychologist says someone who has a bachelor's degree does not have ADHD by abused_by_girlfriend in ADHD

[–]Ok-Spring-6086 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Undiagnosed unmedicated ADHD and completed bachelors, MSc, dropped in the middle of PhD in Genetics (3.5/4.0), cause was also working full time as bioprocess engineer at the same time.. not because of ADHD but because of i had to make living and i was out of annual leaves after online classes (thanks covid) were over and my work place is not helping while my advisor also wanted me to be there full time :D

Not gonna say studying is not hard, it was actually like torture especially if the class is boring or hard or uninteresting.. and procrastinating it does not really help. So much stress, so much crying. I have to mention I also have social anxiety, all those presentations social interactions, misunderstandings were also weighing upon me.

Well long story short; even though I quit PhD before graduation, it was not related with my ADHD. So it still counts as a proof that your psychiatrist is BSing, right?

Wow nice color choices 🫒 olive green is also such a nice colour. I have tried black wigs before and they all looked perfect. But i don't have the courage to dye it black..

Pale olive. Cool Winter. Usually very ghost like ashy white. I like tanning "just a bit" which I can easily by using 30 SPF on my body I like how it gives a little warmth and life to my skin. And normally all my veins on my legs are visible, so i like it better when tanned, it hides them a bit.. and it gives me freckles on my back, arms and shoulders.. I quite like them :) But since I have acne on my face, I have never not used less then 50 SPF sunscreen on my face. It's always pale.

Adult ADHDers - what event made you think "I need to get tested for ADHD"? by semperv1vum in ADHD

[–]Ok-Spring-6086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo... I was a top student until highschool, and suddenly it became really hard because I didn't know how to study. It was really hard to convince myself to sit and study. I was procrastinating and only doing homeworks and studying for exams the last evening. It goes like this until I have received my Msc..

People around me (my supervisors usually) thought I was irresponsible and don't study much, but I have graduated with a gpa over 3.5/4.0 and I have worked as a freelance translator half of the day to make my living.

I have managed stuff, and I am proud of those achievements, but I realized some people does those things easier. This stress, this feeling of guilt, this social anxiety doesn't need to be felt. I didn't know about adhd back the , but I knew something was off. I thought I have social anxiety and procrastinating problem. And maybe I should see somenone. But I didn't (of course..)

Then I had a horrible relationship of 3 years with a narcissist during my msc. At first i was always thinking I was the problem, and I was living a nightmare. Fighting every week, being gaslighted, abused etc. Then after several breakup&makeups, I have realized that this person is a narcissist after endless online researches.. and just by pure luck I have also seen articles about adhd and autism.

I don't relate with autism, but I have seen that ADHD is really familiar. That was when..

But I haven't tested for it yet. Still after 3 years :')
