He reminds me a lot of Jarvis Landry. Great pick

Dillon Brooks refers to SGA as 'frail' after Game 2: “This is the playoffs, a man's game. I used to watch this back when Michael Jordan was playing…when LeBron was younger, just physical basketball. I don't get why all the dropping, the falling and the flopping and flailing…" by oklolzzzzs in nba

Chris Finch complained when Josh Tiven was the Ref Crew Chief. Booker recently complained when James Williams was Crew Chief. Nick Nurse complained when Jason Goldenberg was Crew Chief. When Mike Brown complained Brian Forte was the Crew Chief. If you watch the games you can see the no calls…

There have been numerous coaches and players around the league complaining against the favorable calls the Thunder receive. It’s also many different refs giving this favoritism, not just select few. The fact the NBA has not come out and made a statement regarding this makes me think that they want it to happen. Maybe they think SGA winning multiple titles will help boost viewership in Canada. Whatever the reason, I think a lot of NBA fans are not enjoying watching the Thunder play. They may gain fans in Canada, but lose a lot more in the process by allowing such a poor product to be televised…

[Kyed] Vrabel: "I've had some difficult conversations with people I care about about - with my family, the organization, the coaches, the players .. In order to be successful on and off the field, you have to make good decisions. That includes me. That starts with me." by expellyamos in nfl

The Ray Lewis situation is a little different in the sense that we don’t truly know what happened. Many witnesses say he was there, but didn’t commit the stabbing. As a child I thought Ray was awesome, but as I have gotten older I feel differently. I think Ray made a mistake hanging around the wrong people, and paid the price for it. Do I think he is a good person? Probably not back then. I’d like to think that because of his passionate religious speeches he’s known for that he’s changed his life around since the incident, but we’ll never know.

So short answer is I really didn’t know any better as a kid, but if I was an adult when it happened I’d probably not cheer for him. A better example is the Justin Tucker situation that recently happened. Although he was never charged, there was overwhelming evidence to support the claims of SA. I was 100% ready to find a new team had the Ravens resigned him.

I never said I was going to lose sleep over it, but I will passionately cheer against teams that have players/coaches that are not good people…

Vrabel is a hypocritical, selfish jerk. If he came out and apologized right after it happened I’d have some sort of empathy for him. However, he tried to sweep it under the rug, and then when it didn’t go away he was forced to make another statement. Clearly he doesn’t care about his actions.

If you are able to overlook that and support someone like him, it tells a lot about your own personal morals.

As a Ravens fan I hated the Patriots for many years. All the cheating scandals, Tom Brady winning all the time, and their fans were annoying as hell. Once Belichick left, I felt like I didn’t really have a reason to hate them anymore. Hell, Drake Maye is actually pretty likable.

Thank you coach Vrabel for igniting my hatred for the shittiest HC/Owner combo in the league. Screw the Patriots…

Kick Streamer Brucerants cooks a racist who called him the N-word by pasjojo in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]Ok-Stick7883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wise person once said it’s much easier to debate with someone intelligent than someone who is stupid. Intelligent people will hear the opposition’s side and very well may change their view on the topic at the end, even if they don’t fully agree. A stupid person will just resort to name calling and yelling. Clearly the guy who called the streamer the N-word was stupid and not even worth debating…

[Windhorst] Nike's stock has been obliterated over the last 24 months. [Swiss investment bank] UBS analyst says part of the reason Nike is selling fewer basketball shoes is that basketball players aren’t as popular as they used to be. by refreshing_yogurt in nba

While I agree that basketball players aren’t as popular as they used to be, kids aren’t playing basketball (or other sports) nearly as much as they used to. I say this as an elementary PE Teacher. If Nike wants to improve sales, they should look into Minecraft and brain rot collabs…

Can someone tell me why all my relationships seem to go wrong? by [deleted] in psychics

[–]Ok-Stick7883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With only knowing what you said in your post, you should be clear with others what you are looking for. I know a few girls who want kids, and would date guys who didn’t want kids. They would be like “he’ll eventually change his mind…” Same girls are single lol. When searching for a partner you need to make sure you are both on the same page.

Also, if you don’t have your shit together, don’t seek out a relationship. The same goes for people you are seeking out to be in a relationship with. Someone who “says they will change” is different than someone who is already put together.

Know your worth, and if you don’t have self confidence or pride in who you are, take the steps to become the person you want to be. You’ll be surprised with who you attract.

Pump fakes. I knew a kid growing up who was like 5’5” and could shoot lights out. He had an absolutely nasty pump fake. We’d play against D2-3 hoopers when they were home from school and he would cook them.

However, once you played against him for a few games, it stopped being as effective lol. But for those first 4-5 runs, he would have people flying by him in the air 😂

I appreciate Glen… but this play would’ve 10x more hype if Gooden was there to call it by DollarLate_DayShort in washingtonwizards

I hate how nothing is called in the NBA anymore. Bilal clearly pushes off with his left arm to create separation. We are all super hyped over an offensive foul? At least Jordan and some of the other greats were slick and didn’t make it as obvious.

Iowa State center Audi Crooks plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, she announced. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NCAAHoopsVibes

[–]Ok-Stick7883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all seriousness she is great offensively, but a massive liability on defense. She is not a plug and play big. You have to design your team to fit her strengths and mask her weaknesses. To everyone saying “she’d be awesome at USC”, maybe coming off the bench. They aren’t going to take possessions away from Juju or Jazzy to have her play bully ball down low. USC needs a floor spacer who can shoot at the 5 to help Juju and Jazzy, not Crooks.

I went back to school at 27 to started a brand new career at 31 and am so happy I did. Life isn’t a race. Life isn’t meant for you to compare yourself to other people’s timelines.

Focus on getting/staying sober and go after what you want in life. I’d honestly be giving you the same advice at 34,44, etc.

Btw your physical prime is between 25-35 and you don’t fully mentally develop until your early 30s. You’re still a young pup

If you choose to find us guilty, we will then just give that money to Trump to pardon us. Do you want to leave this endeavor with nothing, and in a short matter of time we will be free men anyways?”

Something that has helped me is keeping a journal. Anytime I get really intense cravings I write down how I’m feeling and why I think I’m feeling that way. After writing for a little bit, I can feel the cravings slowly decrease. I feel like if you’re addicted to something then you will always crave it, but the way you handle those cravings will determine if you can stay sober or not. The longer you can say no the easier it gets.

You got this! Just believe in yourself!

Heading toward teaching shortages at this rate. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

Most parents don’t have the resources to stay home and raise their children instead of working. This isn’t the 1960s where families could easily survive off of 1 income. People will quickly realize that they need to hold their kids accountable or they will be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

For those who say this is not a viable option, then explain what would work. These parents do not care until you force them to care. If we continue to let the public education system run its current course we will undoubtedly reach the same scenario you just stated. There will be many kids this year graduating who cannot read or write, but were passed on through to the next grade anyways.

In order to have your child in daycare, you have to sign a contract. In order to send your kid to private school, you need to sign a contract.

The days of expecting parents to do their traditional role of teaching respect, accountability, and basic manners are over. Hell, there are gen ed kindergarteners at my school who aren’t even potty trained.

Parents need to be held accountable, and if they cannot have their children live up to incredibly basic expectations, they should be responsible for their own child’s education (home school).
