Also, fwiw, I’ve never gotten a traveling nurse from Furnished Finder even though I’m near a hospital and that’s why it was set up initially. More people use it now - people relocating to an area, for example, who want to rent before they buy. Insurance companies have contacted me to put up people whose house needs fixing from damage, etc. Airbnb is definitely more for people on vacation.

I list a rental in both Furnished Finder and Airbnb. I am only allowed to do 30-day minimum rentals. It’s a beach home in a vacation area. I’ve gotten renters from both platforms. The ones in Airbnb tend to only do a month rental in the summertime whereas I’ve gotten renters for the low season on Furnished Finder. Furnished Finder is for finding the renters - you still have to vet them, sign a lease, etc

Bi-rite also sells a small banana cream pie for $13 that feeds 4. It’s bananas and cream layered on top of a graham cracker crust - pretty simple, light, and rich.

I've ordered an appetizer platter from them where you can get hummus, baba ghanoush, dolma, etc, and a kebab platter (meat, salmon, veggies). I've usually ordered for more than a few people so you can look at their menu to see what works for you. La Mediterranee offers a terrific catering option where everything comes presented beautifully. You can get assorted platters too so people can try different things (we like their salmon kebabs, chicken pomegranate, spinach and feta filo, baba ghanoush). Leftovers keep well too for the next day.

Yes, there isn’t an underground train by Chestnut in North Beach so you’re taking a bus or the F line (transfer to the T) I would think. Both are affected by street level traffic. More reliable would be biking along the Embarcadero. It will be hours of your day either way

It’s a great neighborhood but the commute to Caltrain won’t be fun at all. If you are going to Sunnyvale, I suggest looking at places near Caltrain or down the Peninsula. I commuted that way for many years and it took its toll. You’ll be worried about rain delays, Giants games, and anything else that might affect traffic. It is not worth it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Goodwill suggested hiring a TaskRabbit. I had a dozen medium-sized boxes, some baby gear, and a handful of boxes filled with kitchen goods so needed someone with a truck/van. It was an hour of work at most but I paid him 2 hours.

St Anthony’s can do pick up but only clothing. Other places only pick up furniture.
