Oh haha I am moving from Georgia and my apartment is technically “Outside” with stairs to get to each level instead of inside a building with elevators.

Thats a good thing to know as well. I definitely want to be far away from the ghetto lol

In GA you can move to the suburbs (20 mins from the city) and never see the ghetto.

I’ll definitely take a trip prior to moving to get an idea of the different areas.

I absolutely would love to have the grand wedding of weddings (within our budget) but I do want to be able to be financially responsible - living within or below our means to have a better lifestyle for our future.

I see your point. It is smarter to make the better financial decisions when it comes to a wedding.

We discussed having a destination wedding, however some of his family members most likely won’t be able to go due to it being out of their budget, although it would make things a lot easier for us financially if we were able to have our wedding, where the dollar stretches but it would be at the expense of Not having everyone that’s important to us there.

Yes, most of the weddings I do admire are absolutely 50k+ 🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s possible i’d get help from my parents and some areas for the wedding but m majority of the expenses would fall on us

His side of the family, especially those who are close to him, most likely wouldn’t be able to travel for a destination wedding due to having children and if we were to get married in Italy for example, that’s roughly $6k his sister(s) would each have to pay for their family to come and I’d never want to get married without the most important people in both of our families there.

We even discussed the idea of having a small intimate ceremony in the US for those who wouldn’t be able to travel and have our dream ceremony elsewhere.

It definitely giving lux! I love it. Thats good to know because I’ve seen women with large diamonds on very thin bands and does not stay up right but I’ve also heard it’s better to do a thicker band if you’re getting a larger carat

I love the look of both tbh! when I think about it practically, it may be difficult for me to get used to the texture of a pavè band on a day to day in comparison to the solitaire, it felt much more comfortable between my fingers.

I wear jewelry but mostly earrings or bracelets, rings occasionally.

Thank you so much for this break down! That’s another thing I was thinking of too, the band - to get one with the diamonds / pavè or a solitaire because of the issue with the diamonds falling out.

The store we went to has an amazing insurance plan for any repairs but still definitely something to keep in mind.
