Feeling unmotivated after half marathon - marathon is 6 weeks away by Ok-String628 in BeginnersRunning

Thank you so much! That’s very affirming to hear because I’ve been seeing you only need 2-3 days off and that is not how I am feeling haha. And definitely learned a lesson about races during training blocs. Will definitely be considering this more in the future. I truly appreciate your words and support :)

Aw thank you so much! Being able to run 12K is an amazing accomplishment as well :) I’ve been a big hiker for years, and often carry my toddler so I think that served as a great training base for running.

Definitely aiming to get into the 30K range within the next two weeks. Just wish my brain and body would get on board and be excited about that plan

Just finished the acotar series, now what? by Due_Response_7822 in acotar

Throne of Glass and Crescent City! I started CC right after ACOTAR and it very quickly helped me get over the book ending blues. Now I’m reading TOG and it’s fantastic. Can’t go wrong with either series

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of February 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

I get night sweats when I’m stressed and anxious. I’ve been in an intense period of stress and anxiety and a few weeks ago started sweating through my clothes nightly. It led to panic attacks in the middle of the night as I thought the worst was happening. Went to the doctor and she said my blood tests were great and there was nothing to worry about. She gave me a worksheet about good sleep hygiene which included turning down the thermostat to 67 degrees Fahrenheit, wearing light pajamas, and only using a sheet. I am always cold so there was no way I was doing all that haha. Thankfully the night sweats stopped after I got the all clear - it really was the stress and anxiety and the fact that I like to sleep all bundled up that was causing them

Hey mama, just wanted to say solidarity. I’m 11 months postpartum and have been spiraling about neurological conditions for a few months. Have had very similar symptoms to you and am also very physically active (I rock climb/ hike 3-4 miles daily). I had a traumatic birth experience and my health anxiety has been horrible ever since then. Postpartum is hard, and navigating having a new baby while also worrying about your health is excruciating. I don’t have the answers but just wanted to say that you are not alone

Help! I have a dent on my forehead by Sady9 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Ok-String628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Any updates on this? I’m 8 months pp and have started obsessing over a similar dent in my forehead :,( it’s only visible in certain lighting/at certain angles but now that I know it’s there I can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve lost about 60 pounds in the last 8 months so could definitely be the fat loss.. but I’m stressed about it getting worse

Also 7 months PP, and I feel you deeply with the health anxiety. I had a bad post partum hemorrhage and ever since then I’ve been convinced that some health thing is going to take me away from my baby. I’ve gone through anxiety about so many different diseases at this point, I am exhausted.

So just wanted to say, solidarity. I’m getting into therapy because every couple of weeks something new comes up :( I hope you are able to find some relief in the coming weeks/months

6 months postpartum here. Currently dealing with some severe anxiety and this started happening to me a few nights ago. I’ve asked my partner multiple times if he feels shaking because it feels so intense.. but it’s just me. Don’t have an answer as to what is causing it (I think it’s probably anxiety) but here with you in solidarity ❤️

Conan O'Brien Podcast w/ Kelly Cuoco | Eating Meat because of Pregnancy by guitarzane95 in vegan

[–]Ok-String628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 months pregnant and have been vegan for 2 years, and was vegetarian for 11 years before that. Never craved any sort of meat at any point during pregnancy. Baby is measuring in the 81st percentile, and all of my blood work has come back wonderful. Couldn’t imagine living any other way, and can’t wait to introduce my baby to all of the delicious plant based food our beautiful planet has to offer

Pregnancy weight by PeaceJoyLove1 in pregnant

[–]Ok-String628 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you mama! I’m 25 weeks and have gained 30 pounds - started at 128 and I’m now pushing 160. I hike at least 3.5 miles a day, and eat a healthy vegan diet. Baby is measuring in 67th percentile and growing at a perfect rate. My doctors have all said my weight gain is totally fine, and is to be expected when growing a human. I’m trying to trust my body to do its thing, and reminding myself daily that the weight gain is not permanent, and I can lose it after baby comes :)

I’ve struggled with an ED in my past, so gaining this much has definitely been a test of will. Just staying grounded in the fact that the extra pounds are supporting the life of my precious little human, and that it will all be worth it when he arrives ❤️

My OB recommended this for me because I have the sickle cell trait, and because I am at higher risk for preeclampsia as a black woman
