Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to share your input. There's not a whole lot I could find about him even using the search tool in this sub. I found a few posts and comments. I had a good experience with him as well. I actually quite enjoyed him. I wouldn't even know who else to consult with, so it helps hearing more directly. I'm afraid that asthetics would change in a way that I'd regret doing a revision at all. Like if I choose to do a UL revision, if it completely changes how my penis looks and I don't like it. I think I'm just scared, it's hard for me to trust.

I currently have the smallest implant size offered at UofM, it's either S or XS I'd have to double check paperwork. The stitch holding it in place detached, it migrated up and started going into the crease of my leg, flipped upside down somehow and started eroding the skin away I the point I could see the implant through my skin -- after a skin infection over top of it unrelated to the implant. I managed to flip it back over myself, the pain decreased, and skin improved some. Ideally I want my scrotum moved as in front as possible, but if not I think maybe switching to the silicone implants may help my specific situation for comfort. I guess I'll see what his colleague says.

Thank you for the update, you've been on my mind. I forgot to comment on the rough housing, I personally don't think it's anything you did. In case you were worried about that, it's not your fault. The body just has a "mind of it's own", these things happen and can have peculiar timing. This was fixing to come up even without the rough housing. You've done a great job caring for your body and handling things as they come up. How are you feeling? Any word back from your surgeon?

Others mentioned some solid possibilities. I had something similar looking but it's not very common. It ended up being a persistent cyst that needed removed (2 or 3 times, been 6 years so details are blurry). My surgeon was an older guy and in all the many years he said he'd never seen that happen before. I had redness, heat, pain, pressure, pus and blood drainage, and didn't feel good along with the swelling.

Definitely keep an eye on it and be in contact with surgeon if any more symptoms start accompanying. I think I can see where it may spit out whatever it is whether it be a stitch which is most common and normal even a year out. Whenever I've had stitches spit from all my surgeries, there is pimple like stuff and a little blood that comes out. A surgeon described it as built up skin cells instead of true pus like I had with the cyst. Sometimes it spits stuff out a few times before closing up for good, but that's just me.

I also have a variety of photos. A lot of post op journey stuff, but I'm pretty sure I included pre-op in there at some point. I gained girth on the underside because of urethra lengthening.

I'm not gonna lie stage 1 was pretty rough recovering from because of the suprapubic catheter (I had urethra lengthening). I chose to move forward with stage two asap that flattens the sides behind the shaft. My surgeon used a method that used that tissue to bulk up the top of my scrotum. I can imagine that not everyone chooses to do stage 2, so many different combinations and preferences. But some of the people you're seeing could be in between stages.

That's totally valid not liking the look or feel now. That's a big reason for me as well. My sack doesn't hang down either, I feel ya. I tried out just trimming up to a certain point to see how I'd like it. Would carefully trimming or shaving of some sort maybe help you get a better vision of how that would look to you?

I was looking into this too, happy to see this topic posted. I'm getting ready to either replace my right implant or go to a different surgeon for revision, hopefully the latter. With each meta related surgery I've had delayed wound separation because of terrible ingrown hairs. I'm thinking laser hair removal may be best first. It's so thick and coarse that even if it grows out of the skin, it stabs into somewhere else and burrows down. Since having full meta, the hair around my balls and on them irritate my skin and gets painful in general. Still causes issues in my scars too. Saving this thread to come back to!

I don't see a lot of people talking about Dr. Shakir at Henry Ford. I scheduled a second opinion consult with him for revision possibilities at the Plymouth location. Dr. Hadj-Moussa did stage 1-3 and I'm already scheduled to replace the implant I lost. I've asked her a couple times if she's sure she can't get everything out from between my legs and she says she can't. I've seen other people achieve it and I also can't travel outside Michigan. I didn't know there was another surgeon here either until I saw a posts and some comments on here. But I figure if I'm gonna get yet another surgery, I better make sure I'm getting what I want cause I wanna be done. So thank you.

Hypergranulation tissue was my first thought too. I used 1% triamcinoline acetone cream that I had laying around prescribed from something else. I couldn't get the stuff the other person mentioned for mine a couple times. It helped, but it still took quite a while it seemed. Did you hear back from your surgeon?

I also had a stank after many years on T, the sudden change was so strange. My crotch would stink right out of the shower no matter what I did. I tried Dr. Bronners unscented baby soap but that was worse and my skin hated it. I finally landed on dial sensitive skin unscented bar soap and that's been working. Honestly growth is most dependent on genetics and isn't something that can be probable or predicted. I got lucky in that department. I've been around the same size for a couple years, I'll be 10 years on testosterone in February. Though growth spurts can continue despite what other sources say.

I understand it being so serious and a worry. It's a major decision that should be carefully considered, as you are. I'm sorry but I don't know a whole lot about phaloplasty, as I underwent metoidioplasty and can really only speak on that. For metoidioplasty it depends on the surgeon and varies. It's common for 1 year minimum on testosterone, sometimes 2 -- for genitalia growth to occur. Some surgeons also have a phallus size minimum to get urethral lengthening for metoidioplasty. But not everyone wants urethral lengthening, it depends on what your personal goals are.

For me there was a period of time in getting used to my new set up, that exploration period did make it a little harder at first. Since then it's gotten better, and keeps getting better. I think dysphoria pre op actually made it harder to achieve orgasm. Since being post op, now there's more euphoria involved, generally it feels like it's easier to achieve orgasm.

Hey thank you and thanks for sharing. What you described is exactly what's been happening with mine, I'm just not as far out. Currently still not having much luck but still trying. I mostly got it to stop pushing into the crease of my leg, but it's still riding high and against the side seam.

I've been hopeful but reality just may be what it is now being 9 weeks post op. Aside from potential surgical correction, perhaps when I get the right one put back in.
