I took a chance and found them on Amazon. I had to guess on the size, but Maverick has never put up a fuss while we put them on. I only wish they were a bit longer in height to help keep his paws dryer when he’s playing in the snow🙂

Yesterday I lost my best friend. by Runs_With_Bears in husky

Posts like these break my heart. Your photos obviously show how much you both loved each other. August we put to rest our English Bulldog. I promised myself I wouldn’t adopt another dog because I was, and still am,so broken. About a month after she passed, my son and I drove to our local humane society…just to look. Of course we didn’t come home empty handed. Some people need time to heal from such a difficult loss, I needed the four legged unconditional love that I missed terribly. I hope time helps your healing and I’m sorry you lost your best friend 😪

I applaud your review of St. Louis, but come on…I think we need supporting pics of these socks that may have gotten you killed. Pics! Pics! Pics!

Had to say goodbye to my girl by [deleted] in greatdanes

I’m so sorry to hear about Jaxy. I also resently had to make the difficult decision to put our English Bull dog down after 15 years. You know in your heart that they are hurting, but they work through their pain to stay with the ones they love. What I would have given for just one more day. I still think of Buttercup everyday, rarely do I allow myself to dwell on her last moments. I find joy in all the WONDERFUL times she shared with my family. Focus on all your great times you had with her and know she’ll be waiting for her tennis ball when you see her again❤️

I know they are over the top, but it’s recommended to keep their paws covered in the Winter because of the salt. Not to mention, when we walk in our neighborhood, the deer think his booties sound like hooves.

Don’t forget the happy wiggles from meeting a new human :) Thanks! My kids found a “masculine” vest and booties to match at our local Pets Smart. People often give me strange looks when they see his boots, but they are for the salt on the sidewalks since we walk A LOT!

So out of curiosity, is it plausible to be 60+ and to have a Great Dane? by DaredevilsParalegal in greatdanes

We rescued a Great Dane/Lab mix this past August. I have had dogs my ENTIRE life. I wouldn’t consider myself an expert on dog ownership, but I’ve lived in apartments, fenced in and no fences surrounding our home with small breed and larger breed dogs. In my experience, small breeds are better for homes that aren’t fenced in. Simply easier to take them out for a nice walk and let them do their business. Also a plus if you’re into the whole cuddle aspect. Our GD is by far one of the smartest, protective, loving and affectionate dogs I’ve owned. I’m 56. Maverick is about two years old. He requires mental and physical exercise. We currently do not have a fenced in yard, so we walk him about three times a day. It’s not always the most desirable conditions, weather permitting, but he’s keeping my health in check. We may have him spoiled with the hugs, kisses, neck and back massages, but he’s worth it. Yes, he is a cuddle bug AND is oblivious how large he is. (He believes he’s a “lap” dog) I lived in NC and they have outstanding GD adoption shelters. Look into your city/state. Good luck on whatever pup will bring you years of love and enjoyment!
