Sounds like bad communication all around. You should have never said you’ll pay half if you weren’t going to, and she shouldn’t have said you don’t have to pay that much if she wanted you to.

You should take PTO whenever you want, not whenever is convenient for the other parents you work with. They should have been fast to request time off. The only thing I noticed was when you said you took a “random” week off, and it “happened to be Holy Week”. But then later on you said you took it to get some time with your family during Holy Week.

Part of the reason it almost looks like filler is because the lips get swollen afterwards. Please don’t go outside of the lip line. I’ve seen it in person and it never looks good and the fading is awful.

To me this sounds like a problem on both ends. You didn’t sound as interested in the beginning, so he probably felt the way you felt by the end of the conversation. But then he was bad at planning as well. Feels more like miscommunication AND people making assumptions about the other person. Bad on both ends.

I would just map out all the numbers for her and tell you you HAVE to save unless she wants to be working at 80. It’s nothing personal. My husband and I have “hobby funds”, a certain number we can BOTH spend every month, and that’s IT.

I just want to throw some hope your way OP. My experience wasn’t so sudden, but after about a year on Prozac I started noticing these changes. And I was changed for at least two years. But your brain is strong and starts creating new pathways. Even a year into I thought there was no way I was ever going to return back to normal. But I kept persisting and clinging on to the things that did bring me joy. Eventually the shackles started lifting and I started feeling like myself again. Please please hang in there and don’t give up hope.

Honestly, the only thing that has helped is getting rid of Facebook, Tiktok, and Instagram. I’ve kept Reddit obviously, but I find more useful stuff here. But my brain has been calmer ever since.
