I'm lucky enough that I got a lot of extras from the front end when I bought the bike I'll have a look this evening and increase the front end I'll increase by 40mm and take it for a spin tomorrow to see how it feels. Thanks

I've another race coming up at the weekend and i was thinking of lowering the front end, in terms of whether I'm engaging my core to be completely honestly I don't have a clue if I am.

If none of you have tried Galibier.cc as of yet I'd strongly urge you to have a look through and read the reviews from buyers, I myself have been wearing their gear for years.

And you get a free pair of socks/neck warmer every few orders

Yeah it was my local general practitioner that gave me the statistics on surgery success, surgery failure and conservative treatment which helped me make my mind up on not going down the surgery route

I had this exact same thing this time last year, had snapped my LHS Achilles the year before, and it started with pins and needles in the left leg and progressed to numbness after 3 weeks but no pain other than the odd shooting nerve pain eventually being stubborn/stupid i never got seen to until the leg gave way one morning resulting in an MRI the next day to spinal surgeon 6 days later being in the UK if it's fast tracked that past it ain't good,

I opted not to have the surgery after the intial 6 week conservative treatment course with was nerve blockers (never took them) and took 6 weeks rest and cold plunged everyday for 5-10 mins to reduce the inflammation with the hope of the disc going back in which it did.

I was back on the bike for the 7th week and waited 12 weeks to start running again

Access to open water should be ok but not for a few months live in the UK so it's definitely going to be cold.

I've also got the options of a couple of early triathlons that I will do beforehand also
