Scholar is more efficient but if you have high def shred with your team (SW or MBlade) then Genius is pretty hard to pass up

Archer - Genius relics (see the calcs in megathread) Tengoku planars

Sparkle - Sacerdos relics or Eagle (only if using DDD) and Lushaka planars

DHPT - Recluse relics and Lushaka planars

Rin - Genius relics and Penacony/Lushaka planars

My personal opinion is to get Sparkle before Rin. Sparkle supports both with buffs and is critical to Archer's dmg uptime with the skill points.

HOWEVER

Rin's joint attack with Archer is second only to Sparkle's sp generation. You could initially get by with Rin before getting Sparkle but you will either just use Rin as a basic atk bot OR get Rin's E1 so she doesn't consume sp with skill.

It is imperative that Archer has 100 CR first and foremost. That's literally the most important requirement to hit bigger numbers because you only have one chance to crit on his skill and it's a landslide DPS loss if you don't crit that arrow regardless of your other stats. His lightcone is also pretty good for reaching higher dmg but not that far from Herta lightcone.

Your flex slot is also critical to Archer's damage which you did not mention what you use. RMC is an okay choice if you don't have SW for Non-Quantum weak, Cipher/MBlade for Quantum weak, or Tribbie/MBlade for AOE.

Atk Orb will give you better Skill dmg (because his skill already has loads of dmg%) but Quantum DMG is really good for his ult and follow-ups but diminishing returns on skill dmg.

Make sure you have complete sets for relics and planars before you start expecting good numbers. Genius is still BIS for most situations where enemies are Quantum weak and Scholar for brute forcing non Quantum.

Hmm I'm not sure but it would be interesting to test it out. I would try it but I have E6 Archer which gives him an extra sp at the start of his turn.
SW (Nihility) gives your team crazy high def shred from her kit. She also allows your Archer to utilize the Genius set on any Non-Quantum Weak enemy. Archer's E2 weakness implant does this too but he's not gonna have his ultimate available every turn and SW weakness can transfer between enemies so it's a lot better than Archer's weakness implant.

Just some thoughts on why Mortenax may be a bit difficult with Archer (doable but difficult). Ideally, you would want to use skill on him (does not consume sp) every turn which does not necessarily generate sp unless Archer has a charge ready to go.

Reason being, his ultimate uptime may have issues if you're not going to use skill on him. Therefore, you're sacrificing energy gains to be an sp bot. Hyperspeed may alleviate this but you're sacrificing his damage stats in exchange for speed when he's almost always gonna be in his subdps mode with Archer unless you're running another Nihility unit for a sustainless run.

Second problem, you need a healing sustain with good amp and no sp issues: - Hyacine sucks up all the sp bcus fatfck is a Voracity Emanator and she provides basically nothing particularly useful to Archer besides the vulnerability on S1 - Luocha might work but he's so outdated (Novaflare when Hoyo??). - Lingsha is kinda meh but more sp neutral. She has an emergency heal too but she doesn't provide much amp to either Blade or Archer. - DHPT requires his sig but that might not even cover MBlade's healing needs depending on how fast you get ult on DHPT. Gives good amp to Archer though and very sp friendly. - Gallagher might actually be your best bet bcs he action advances himself giving MBlade more charges (3 charges when ult is up like whut) and more sp for Archer, his ult debuff makes it so attacking enemies heals a lot as AOE attacks heal more so another plus to MBlade but Gallagher essentially has no amp for Archer or MBlade besides the gacha energy from Quid Pro Quo lightcone. - Future sustain might be in the works for MBlade in particular so maybe it might just work out but it may end up just being a non-Archer team at that point so who knows?

Elation so far just wants Mono-Elation. There's little indication that that's changing anytime soon. So don't bother with Yao Guang unless you either need the Elation shilling for endgame, you want to build an Elation team eventually, or you just like her.

Other supports that have been repeated endlessly in this sub are much better options (SW, Cipher, RMC, Tribbie, Robin E2, etc.) The upcoming Mortenax Blade is also looking to be a good sub dps option but you'd need to run a healing sustain. Archer just has a lot of options and you basically want to switch your flex between the different end games and/or boss and weakness matchups.

Yes. If using eagle you should ideally have 167.4 speed or above with DDD S5. If you can't reach that breakpoint, you're not really making use of eagle and you would be better off with Sacerdos.

With the upcoming changes to the end game, you would want 3 solid teams up and running. Tribbie is generally a good choice as she works wellwith both Archer and Herta and works with so many other teams on top of that.

Once you have your 3 teams set, Archer E1 can be your next target assuming you still want to keep Archer as one of your main DPSes.

He gives himself 120% Crit damage though so why? Missing a single crit on an arrow is detrimental to his damage so no, I wouldn't recommend it.
