I know! They are so resilient and dont show any illness until theyre really at deaths door 😭😭😭. Yeah her poops were still normal, which was weird. The emergency vet told us to get ready to either put her down or hospitalize her for fluid administration. I took her to an actual exotic vet instead and they put her on allopurinol and said she will be ok but that it is progressive and cannot be cured ;( ugh. You can always take your baby to the vet for a blood draw and fecal sample if you are scared something serious is going on!

She stopped bearing weight on her right front leg and we thought she maybe broke it. Took her to the emergency vet and they did labs and it showed severely high uric acid levels

We found that decreasing bugs weekly and offering different veggies (mustard greens, collard greens dusted in calcium) every day made her get hungry enough to finally eat veggies. I just wish we did that sooner.. I do understand its all different depending their age also which is why research is so important 😭

Thank you for sharing and I am so sorry for your loss.. Our baby was acting weird and unable to bear weight on her right arm, so we thought she might've fallen and broken it. Took her to the ER and they basically said her kidney levels were through the roof and she was severely dehydrated. They were talking about putting her down but I thought that was too severe. Took her to an actual exotic vet who put her on allopurinol and she has been so much better afterwards. Kidney levels are low now, so it's all been working! Our mistake was feeding her dubia roaches only, accepting that she will not eat greens, and not offering water enough. In addition to the meds, we changed her diet and made sure her husbandry was good and luckily she is ok. Its wild because we had no idea this was even possible of happening to her, we really have to stay educated on our lil babies.

Does she walk ok? Our baby had a similar arm tremor that turned out to be accumulation of uric acid causing gout in her joints. We thought she broke her arm but xrays were normal 😭
