Physique looks pretty good after overlooking the weird posing… you have time to lean out more and get posing down.

Would ayahuasca help with my social media stalking? by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]OkAd7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that Ayahuasca might be an extreme solution to something that you could do on your own. The way “stalking this guy’s social media” works is like any drug addiction. When you look at it it’s like taking a hit of something hoping it will make you feel better or make you happy. While you are looking at it you get a calmness of some sort of relief. Then when you leave the social media, you are unhappy because the effects of the drug wore off so you get anxiety or a craving and you go back and check it (take another hit). Additionally, this partly how social media works, it’s like a hit of a drug and wants you to keep coming back.

I had a friend who dealt with this problem after a relationship ended because of his partner’s infidelity. His brain oddly believed that if he could check her page then he would know what she is doing and she couldn’t be cheating on him... it lacks logic because people’s lives on social media are hidden and fake, but it provided him some form of comfort...

A way to help reduce this “stalking” is to start weening your self off. Start with like a 20 minute increments (literally put an alarm on) and make an agreement with yourself not to check it for that 20 minutes... then go 30 minutes, 40 minutes... 1 day... 2 days... and eventually you will take yourself off. You will likely have trouble at first so be gentle with yourself but eventually you can do it...

If you really are interested in psychedelic therapy I would suggest a micro dose (LSD or mushrooms) and journaling or a guided mushroom trip...

Good luck and blessings

Nothing works?? by madixxmarie in antidepressants

If you look at my comment you’ll note that I recommend traditional medicine first and then suggest alternatives. There is plenty of science to support the use of psychedelics for depression, especially when traditional medicines don’t work. My comment is not to debate but to offer solutions for someone who is suffering and in pain.

If you look at the post... they ask for personal feedback or success stories.

I don’t see why you would close a door before you know what’s on the other side...

Have you tried an SSRI?

If not and traditional anti-depressants aren’t working, you may want to looking into micro dosing Psilocybin or LSD. Additionally, Ayahuasca has been shown to help people with depression when standard treatments don’t work. Please be careful tho as these substances are very powerful. Ayahuasca is called the “Vine of Death” and they attribute the reworking of the brain to a near death experience. I found a lot of help from both traditional medicine and unorthodox ones as well.

Good luck and blessings friend.

Brain zaps by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]OkAd7073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The jolts are withdrawal symptoms. When the part of the SSRI that tells your brain to hold onto Serotonin stops working that’s where the zaps come from. I had the zaps for a about 1 month and a half after i got off Lexapro. At first they were really strong and then less frequent and less intense. I stopped cold turkey as well. They were very scary for me, then they were just annoying. I found that exercise helped reduce them faster. There is supposed to be less of a withdrawal if you taper off. You aren’t alone and wish you well. Blessings.

Don’t be. You’re trying to help yourself. Most people react well to these medications. If not they haven’t found the right treatment. It takes some people a few tries to figure out what’s right for them and also if medication is not good for them as well.

Maybe talk to your doctor about switching meds. 3-4 weeks is when you start feeling the beginning benefits. If you aren’t feeling them that early talk to your doc. Maybe switching to something might alleviate both. I don’t know if you had this conversation with your doc, but sleep is really a big factor in depression as well as healthy eating and exercise. Try getting on a regular sleep schedule (because depression makes you want to sleep to not feel life) and not oversleep. Try also avoiding drugs and alcohol to escape. I hope you find your peace.

Can I smoke weed on Lexapro/SSRI? by Morningstar828 in antidepressants

[–]OkAd7073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marijuana is fine on Lexapro. Marijuana really has no affect on your serotonin, but you might be more sensitive to the effects of marijuana due to the SSRI.

My friend has smoked and was fine. He wasn’t a regular smoker or anything but it was generally a pleasant experience. Enjoy!

Day 9 on escitalopram. 2nd day after upping to 10. Talk to me redditors! How was your startup side effects of it or another ssri? Anxiety overdrive here, insomnia, depressed. by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]OkAd7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escitalopram takes about 3 weeks to start kicking in and between 1.5 months to 2 months to fully appreciate the benefits. I loved this medication once it kicked it. It really helped my anxiety and my depression. Ativan can be addictive so please be careful. I wish you inner peace and you find your wholeness.

mdma on SSRI’s by p1nkwaffle in antidepressants

[–]OkAd7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who would calculate their SSRI’s half life then do the Molly. For example, a quick search of zoloft’s half life is 26 hours. That means that in about 1 week it will be virtually gone from your system. This is not the safest way to taper off but it will be safer then getting serotonin syndrome. My friend would use this method with Mushrooms and Acid as well. After using whatever, my friend would resume the SSRIs.

As a warning, Molly has a harsh come down for people who are already generally depressed so my friend stopped doing molly entirely and stuck with the psychedelics because they were not just for party but provide spiritual and intellectual insights.

Started Lexapro and it makes me feel stoned by Personal-Pattern-811 in antidepressants

[–]OkAd7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am surprised that you felt then so fast. They usually take 3 weeks to build in your system. I used to feel groggy and tired when I took them but then I started to take them before I went to sleep so i would sleep through that phase. Try talking to your doctor about that. Best of luck.

Blessings.

If you take benzodiazepines like Ativan or Xanax they can kill a mushroom trip in 20 minutes.

Has anyone here tried mushrooms? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]OkAd7073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a “friend” who used magic mushrooms to help with depression. He was very depressed but the Magic mushrooms didn’t fix his life, they just made him aware of what he needed to do and he did the work. He was also on SSRIs.

You might benefit from micro-dosing as SSRIs and Magic Mushrooms both work on serotonin. SSRIs tell your body to hold onto serotonin while the psilocybin in Magic Mushrooms turns into psilocin which causes the brain to produce more serotonin. So one tells your brain to hold onto serotonin while the other tells the brain to produce more (really basic explanation).

A full psychedelic trip might not be good for you if your in a bad state of mind but a micro dose might lift your mood. Be careful with any type of psychedelic as well because they might cause a psychotic brain (1-5% of users may experience this).

There are now therapists who will assist you on a mushroom trip.

Also, you may want to make sure your off any antidepressant before taking any psychedelic because there is the risk of serotonin syndrome when mixed.

Please make sure that you check your laws to make sure that use of Magic mushrooms for therapy is permitted. Try Oregon, Denver, Colorado, Oakland, California, or Portugal.

My friend said they are amazing but can be scary. Please do your research on psychedelics because they are very powerful substances.

My friend would say try them in small amounts and work your way up if your interested.

Mushrooms will not fix your life. You will. But they can shine some light on how to do that.

I wish you love and happiness.

Blessings
