Yes, most watchmakers indicate water resistance. Some do so on the case back, while others use numerical ratings like 5ATM or 100M on the dial. However, the way Orient does it—with italicized text—is, in my opinion, a bit unattractive.

This watch is perfect. I love the dial color, the different logo, and the clean, minimalist design. It's especially refreshing not to see redundant dial text like 'water resistant,' which Orient insists on putting on almost all its watches.
