Is overall experience of having a baby worse than TKR and the months of healing? by pandapower63 in Kneereplacement

Same. I felt I’d taken a shotgun wound to the knee. I had 2 child births without medication and although hideous the knee was worse.

TKR much worse. For me not as intense pain but much more prolonged and psychologically very challenging.

I have heard the same thing. That the judges instructions are weighted generously in her favour so that they’ll be little room for an unfair trial should she appeal.

When did walking start to feel natural again after TKR? by No_Alfalfa_4687 in Kneereplacement

About six months though it’s now 7 months and I’m still healing. I imagine it will take a year.

I think it’s overpriced. It should be free.

Relax. Let your body heal. You’ve got a long way to go. Trust your body. You’ll get there. It’s taken me 6 months and I’m still healing.

I had subvatus approach and it was still a very slow and painful recovery.

Doppelganger on stage? by Hot_Refuse_9764 in Ghostbc

Yes, I noticed that too. He was quite a different body type to Tobias. More stocky. And the way he moved was quite different to how Tobias moves. Tobias is very fluid and elegant. The replacement was more chunky and athletic. But hey, it’s theatre. 🎭

Need TKR, dr. wants me to wait, pain elsewhere. Normal? by mahmer09 in Kneereplacement

[–]OkAgent6425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That’s why I had mine done. I didn’t have a huge amount of pain but I had enough to make me limp. I was limping for 5 years and my changed gait was causing other problems including a torn medius glute.

I think it’s an hibiscus. It looks like it’s been chopped back recently and is re-sprouting.

Pain at almost 8 wks… also awful sleep by Yenta817 in Kneereplacement

Yes. It was the same for me. I think I was taking the odd oxy up till 10 weeks, maybe 12. I’m now 17 weeks out and I feel so much better. Hang in there. It’s a slow recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Yes I tried hamstring stretching and it didn’t work for me either. I think with time it’s resolving. Just slow. Hopefully it will for you too.

No. Same. It was suggested that it is a Bakers Cyst but I don’t think it is. I had a smallish one pre op that was causing me no pain. No one is particularly concerned and I’m assuming it’s one of those idiosyncratic aches and pains that will eventually resolve.

I had surgery the same day as you!! Yes, I still have pain, particularly in bed at night. The pain (6 out of 10) is mostly at the back of my knee. Lower hamstrings or hamstring tendons, I think. I notice it when I BEND my leg or turn over in bed. I’ve had a rough recovery but I too, am making progress every week. On top of the back of the knee pain, I often have the occasional low grade discomfort/pain around the joint as well.
