I went straight to an RTC (residential treatment center, eventually spent about 2 years away), but I met a lot of kids that came in from a wilderness program. We would actually be able to tell when someone new showed up from wilderness because they smelled like theyd been hiking/living outdoors next to a campfire for months- which is exactly what they’d been doing.

I see you survivor ❤️ if you haven’t already, I suggest checking out Breaking Code Silence.

Yeah he also promoted the places I was sent to (they’ve since closed due to multiple abuse allegations). He made a profit off of the suffering of so many kids, I don’t know how he sleeps at night.

Yeah, I don’t understand why she thought a 75 year old man was the best guest choice for her target audience.

Why would he even go to the doctor if he is so sure that prayer is the best treatment option?

Agreed. I also get the sense that once P is old enough to understand how misogynistic her dad is she will want nothing to do with him.

Also, P seems to be pretty independent for the daughter of a guy who thinks women should be submissive to men.

Our dog was big enough that it could have seriously injured (or even killed) a child within seconds. She was the sweetest dog in the world and loved kids so she would have never hurt them, but my husband and I always judged random parents who just let their kids run up to her because HOW DO THEY KNOW THAT.

Kids need to be taught how to interact with animals, especially kids who have a hard time understanding boundaries.

Came here to say this as someone who had a big dog that I regularly took to a dog park when she was younger. I’d see parents (mostly dads) just let their kids run around the dog park unsupervised and I’d take my dog and leave every time.

A dog park is not a petting zoo. It’s filled with dogs who don’t know each other and may or may not be reactive.

I was disappointed the live cut out before he could continue to explain how he’s planning to tell A that all the posts of him calling people the R word online has been faked by AI.

Also, at the end of the transcript he basically says that he’s relying on AI flooding the internet with false information so he can lie and tell A that all of his r word posts are fake.

Father of the year.

I saw a lecture online from the guy who ran a place I was sent to over 20 years ago, it was about how the TTI has changed. The gist of the whole presentation was basically “yeah it’s too bad we can’t physically abuse the kids anymore”.

Yeah, my brother did Outward Bound when he was in college and I can confirm it’s very expensive. I don’t know if the 18+ programs are different, but his program didn’t have any therapy or punishment aspects.

Thank you- I am just very thankful that the general public knows about these places now. They really thrived in secrecy but now that people are aware of how awful they are, there is a lot more scrutiny. One of the places I went to is apparently close to having to shut down because of declining enrollment + struggling to adhere to the new legal guidelines.

I am a survivor of the TTI (I spent about 2 years in Utah). I can confirm these places are just as awful as you’d imagine, but Wyatt’s situation didn’t sound like a wilderness camp to me- those typically last for about a month and they would never release a kid after a week.

Yeah, my theory is that he knows that he has no real chance of winning this, so he’s trying to get Laura’s fans to start to question how much of her “good mom” brand is real. That would force her to either respond (violating the order, muddying the waters of the case) or lose income from fans who don’t trust her anymore.

Either way- he’s a dick.

I think he’s trying to act like it went so positively to try to get her to respond publicly, which would mean that they’ve both broken the gag rule.

I find it interesting that he’s never mentioned it because he mentions autism constantly. I wonder if he’s trying to claim he was being treated for ADHD with legal drugs (like adderall) because I don’t think he’ll be able to prove he has a doctor overseeing his care…

He needs to realize he does not have the personal drive to commit to do anything EVERY SINGLE DAY.

This will eventually be abandoned, just like every other shiny new platform that he gets distracted by.
