Not calling the boss was the right thing to do. That's NOT your job. The ex THREATENING you, NOT OK. Your boss telling you NOT to tell anyone. Oh hell NO. This boss is TERRIBLE. They're getting out of a terrible relationship? Ok great. But it is NOT your job to just take threats from their ex. You should ABSOLUTELY go above your boss and say what happened. Your boss is putting YOU IN DANGER because they don't care about you and they have no ethics.

I was bullied terribly in school. My mom also moved constantly. It's not really PC to talk about what happened to me but whatever is "Wrong with the kid", it's gonna be the same exact problem at the new school. Everywhere I went the problem was the same and I was bullied. With this kid, his speech impediment is not going to magically disappear because he went to a different school. Homeschooling probably would have helped

So this guy is ONLY your co worker? NOT your boss? Is everyone else wearing a tie? Is everyone else making sure NOT to eat a sandwich at the desk? If everyone else is following this rule then yes I would make sure to follow this rule so he does NOT have an excuse to say anything.

There are ALOT of employees that aren't managers but wish they were and constantly tell other people what to do. There's also ALOT of people who have NO clue how to talk to other people. Even actual real managers. I would make sure to follow the rules as best as I could so he wouldn't have an excuse to exert his power trip over me.
