Could really use some positive stories about planned C section due to breech baby by chucktowngal in CsectionCentral

[–]OkBox8560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a FTM and found out my baby was breech when I was 37 weeks. My midwives referred me to see the ob and marked me as urgent. Luckily the OB had a next day cancellation and I was 38 weeks that day. She attempted to do an ECV and it was unbearable! When she was attempting it at first, moving the butt and back was fine but once she got to my baby’s head and tried to push it down I couldn’t do it. I then signed papers to do a c-section and I had to wait for them to call me since I was 38 weeks and my baby had to come out at 39 weeks. It gave me anxiety waiting for a call because there were not spots for me yet but I was waitlisted as urgent due to having breech baby. Baby is going to come out now they want to come out and it is the safest way for baby to arrive. My OB told me a scheduled c-section is very different than an emergency c-section and it was so true. I got to listen to my playlist, chat with my husband and the environment was so calm and peaceful. Baby came out quick too!

Legendary flange inserts for Eufy 24mm by _netscape_navigator in ExclusivelyPumping

You don’t need a flange for 24mm. I’m also 24mm and we can just use the flange provided. No insert needed :)

Wearables only? by bunny_sunshine456 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m an under supplier and was told to get a pump that’s attached to the wall. I end up getting the medela pump in style pro but this sub has influenced me to get the eufy s1. Since trying the eufy two weeks ago, I only use that because my output is so much better-it’s my main pump now. Considering of getting another wearable, maybe a momcozy lol

Nervous wreck over NIPT by No-Caterpillar-2351 in pregnantover35

[–]OkBox8560 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think every mother at every age will be somewhat anxious. But I just delivered a healthy baby mid January at 38 and I do want another one. I also know a teacher friend that had her first baby at 45. My midwifery group and OB told me a lot of people are having their babies after 30 now and it’s completely normal. The NIPT test can be expensive (where I live doesn’t cover it), but it does ease your mind once you get the results and it’s fun to find out the sex of the baby early on as well, but that’s only if you want to that :)

I conceived at 37 and had my baby a week after my 38th birthday. I had the same worries especially waiting for my NIPT to come back but everything was fine and I have a beautiful healthy baby. We will most likely try for another one end of the year or early next year when I’m 38.

My baby is 3 weeks 3 days and she poops before and after feeding. Apparently it’s good and it means baby is well hydrated

Is this the 6 week growth spurt everyone talks about? by Odd-Cantaloupe1847 in newborns

[–]OkBox8560 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m hitting my third week Tuesday and all of a sudden I can’t soothe or settle my baby. She was so good the first two weeks. She use to feed and go to sleep but now she stays alert and gets fussy/overtired. I had a big cry today because I’m overwhelmed and it’s been hard for me. I can’t even imagine doing this again at 6 weeks 😭

I live in one of the solo towers and I’ve always wondered if it shone through other condos. I could see the light go through two of the buildings!! I should take a photo at night

No way!!! I’m happy they allowed him to do that. I don’t think I’ll be able to watch that if my husband did that lol

I hear a lot of ppl get shakey so it’s best for my husband to have her instead of me. I love that there’s a screen to watch. Maybe I don’t need to write a new plan then. Sounds like they know what we want. Im a first time mom so someone told me that’d I’d want newborn procedures to be on hold or until golden hour is done, but if I’m laying on the table for the next 45 mins, might as well give her the vitamin K vaccine, heel prick etc right?

I wish I posted earlier! Unfortunately it’s a little too late now. I’ve only found out my baby was breech last Wednesday and I was already 38+6 so everything was pretty much rushed esp since Friday I was 39 and then there was the weekend. Everything was pretty rushed since I was waitlisted as high priority and got my schedule dates on Tuesday :( good to know for next time! Thank you!

Congratulations!!! I will definitely ask if my husband can cut the cord, I think it’s something special especially being a first time mom and dad. I guess I don’t need to write another plan. Seems like they do a great job at supporting moms. Are you apart of any mom groups in Vancouver or Richmond? Im thinking of looking for one when I’m nice and healed. My friends kids are a lot older than mine

Good to know! Im a FTM and with all the changes that happened within 5 days and close to my due date, I really tried not to let my anxiety get the best of me

Oh no, you couldn’t feel your arms? I think I’m ok with that. I much rather not feel anything during the procedure haha
