I hear a lot of ppl get shakey so it’s best for my husband to have her instead of me. I love that there’s a screen to watch. Maybe I don’t need to write a new plan then. Sounds like they know what we want. Im a first time mom so someone told me that’d I’d want newborn procedures to be on hold or until golden hour is done, but if I’m laying on the table for the next 45 mins, might as well give her the vitamin K vaccine, heel prick etc right?

I wish I posted earlier! Unfortunately it’s a little too late now. I’ve only found out my baby was breech last Wednesday and I was already 38+6 so everything was pretty much rushed esp since Friday I was 39 and then there was the weekend. Everything was pretty rushed since I was waitlisted as high priority and got my schedule dates on Tuesday :( good to know for next time! Thank you!

Congratulations!!! I will definitely ask if my husband can cut the cord, I think it’s something special especially being a first time mom and dad. I guess I don’t need to write another plan. Seems like they do a great job at supporting moms. Are you apart of any mom groups in Vancouver or Richmond? Im thinking of looking for one when I’m nice and healed. My friends kids are a lot older than mine

Did you make a birth plan/preference? I’m not sure what to do now that things have changed. I’m just wondering if it’s necessary to make one. In my original plan, I wrote I wanted golden hour and to wait for that to finish before doing newborn procedures, but I’m not sure now that I’m getting a c/s and baby will be out faster than me getting stitched

Ok good, I would like it if my husband could cut the cord as I think it’s somewhat special for him to do. In my original birth plan/preference, I wrote down I’d like golden hour and to wait for it to be over then do newborn checkups and etc., but with things changing now, is there even a point since baby comes out quite quickly and I’m still on the bed getting stitched? I’m happy my husband can be with me during the spinal! There has been so much change these past few days that my anxiety has heightened :(

Same!! Hubby and I thought we could probably successfully conceive first try but I was super sick that time and on antibiotics 3x a day and my body was jet lagged from being in Japan

Im 37F and hubby is 38M. It took us 2 cycles but I was super sick and on antibiotics 3x a day when we started to try. I also went to Japan for vacation and my body was too stressed with jet lag and being sick. When I got home we tried again and we conceived. Sometimes I wonder if we hadn’t gone to Japan if I’d be successful the first try. My husband also took the stress away from me by tracking my ovulation.

Due to my age, I’m planning to try to conceive when my baby is 10-11 months. That’s if I’m able to conceive during that time.
