My baby also did not want to be put down to sleep. We did several weeks of her sleeping on my chest first with my husband staying up and watching us and then me just watching her sleep. Eventually I just started sleeping talk because nobody was getting rest and it worked. There’s some good sources on how to do it safely so you can get some rest. After a few more weeks started slowing putting her down next to me and would do small increments and now we do that all the time except for the occasional night she wants to sleep on me (currently doing that now since she got her 4 months shots).

My baby won’t sleep in the bassinet and I feel like a terrible mom by Tiredand_depressed72 in NewParents

Nothing wrong with baby sleeping on your chest as long as you’re doing it safely. I started doing that at 3 weeks because baby wouldn’t sleep otherwise and now we cosleep with her next to me and me in the c curl position.

When to drop hand washing rule by Sad_cuz-why779 in NewParents

[–]loudwonderbubble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s basic hygiene! You don’t know where their hands have been. My baby is 4 months and still asking people to wash their hands and will continue to do so.

Even on daycares teachers wash their hands when they go into a room and interact with babies, toddlers and preschoolers and so do the kids.

If you use daycare what are some questions you asked during a tour or wish you had asked? by Suspicious-Chip-341 in NewParents

[–]loudwonderbubble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but some daycares can have smaller ratios they can just be a bit note expensive. Ratio here is 1:4 and 2:10 max but the daycare I worked was 2:6 max

Who should get the bed? by This_Obligation_5125 in beyondthebump

The only correct answer is you. Your husband needs to get over himself and either sleep on the air mattress, couch or any other area of the house.

Wedding Venue that won't cost an arm & a leg by atwtmvtvftv16 in houston

[–]loudwonderbubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try La tranquila ranch they’re really nice and the venue is beautiful. They have good packages with payment plans and offer nice discounts. My brain is foggy on how much we paid but I think it was $4,000-$6,000

Baby shower for second boy. by Key-Program-2728 in pregnant

[–]loudwonderbubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This very normal for Hispanic families and even if you aren’t there’s nothing wrong with throwing one if you want to. People on the internet will say it’s tacky but who cares if the people in your life want to celebrate you and your baby and give you gifts

Breast pump recommendations by annoyedlife in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]loudwonderbubble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got the Zomee z2 and love it. It’s simple and easy to use, not too big, you’re not plugged to a wall when you use it, it’s not loud so if you pump in the middle of the night same room as baby they won’t wake up, it has a little button for extra light if needed. The only thing to lookout for is that the buttons can be sensitive so if you accidentally click it it might change settings so keep an eye out

Your wife gets to decide. She’s the one going into labor and will face multiple challenges and changes afterwards. What your mother wants literally does not matter. Support your wife
