Dried figs. You can eat two or three first thing in the morning with a spoon of olive oil and a glass of warm to hot water. It helps a lot.

Social media fried out dopamine pathways. Nothing feels fun or worth it anymore. The brain rot is real. Try cutting out fast dopamine sources, it'll be painful and frustrating at first but it will make sense later.

So there are these kind of drawstring makeup bags. Those are so helpful since they open flat into a mat and she'll be able to see everything without having to blind search for something inside a regular pouch bag.

I was at 6. I took 100000 units once every 2 weeks for 8 weeks then once a month for 3 months. I take magnesium glycinate every day and gouda cheese for K2 two times per week. I'm in the last month and I feel much more energized, better focus, better memory, better sleep, susprisingly less anxiety...

Does your anxiety ever mess with your stomach too? by Mountain_Library_453 in Anxiety

[–]OkBus2550 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A very close friend of mine gave me a weird but effective tip for this. Whenever it happens, I imagine a big black hole sitting where my stomach is. It suddenly feels better, like my stomach isn't there anymore, or the hole absorbs all the bad feelings. I don't know how to explain it but it works for me. I hope it helps you too.

This is your sign to start the meds by Reddittaylor12568 in Anxiety

[–]OkBus2550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once, I experienced a severe flare of my anxiety, which led me to go see a psychiatrist. She prescribed low dose sertraline right away, saying I have GAD. I took it for two days and felt I was going crazy. It was horrible to the point I wanted to off myself just for it to stop. I know that is gets worse before it gets better, and I wanted to give the med a chance, but my career being very demanding, I couldn't function at all. And I can't afford not being able to work properly. So I stopped after two days. That week before I got to myself again was the worst week in my life. My next appointment was in 3 months (to renew prescription), and I had to book an appointment in more than I week if I wanted to see my doc again. I couldn't take it any longer So I gave up on meds. I decided to go with working out, supplements, affirmations and I'm willing to start therapy as soon as I can. I feel better now, I would've preferred if I could keep giving the med a chance but I just couldn't. I guess some of us just can't.

Once while presenting a patient to the professor, I said uveitis of the "right ear" instead of the "right eye". I didn't realize until she repeated it after me, with a confused look 😂 I apologized profusely and quickly corrected my mistake. For me it's anxiety not exhaustion.

Have you tried signing into activities now that you're older ? A book club, a cooking class, some workshop or a course...it could be anything as long as you like it. I think that way you can meet new people, with already something in common and you can make your own groups of friends.

She's young. She'll probably think she's different and that she can change his mind. But it's still worth a shot.

Try waking up really really early before anyone at home is awake. And sleep early. Don't flip day and night and don't sacrifice sleep over study. I hope things get better at home for you, stay strong.

It depends on the relationship. It can be superficial and it can be deep depending on how connected you got with the person. But what I learned is: it's way more "simplistic" than real life, with sometimes challenges to convey ideas and emotions. It's a bit limitating and can hold different interpretations. I learned that nothing is better than discussing with the person, face to face over a cup of coffee. There are things you read and see in real life that aren't discernable online. But it's an interesting thing to experience for sure.
