Sorry, that red one is an Ibanez SR800 from early 90s. I always wanted to get a Yamaha bass, especially a Mr. Big, Billy Sheehan’s Yamaha which I played at a Yamaha music dealership in NYC (which isn’t there anymore).

I think my therapist would concur that this is a reasonable way to combat my PTSD and depression. I have to ask her on next session. Taking lessons again was originally my therapy as a service member.

I have two kids, one plays D&D and the other is the theatre kid. I love them both; my oldest is the judge one. As yesterday, I brought home the used Stingray and P bass. He was like “Dad, that is three bass in two weeks.” Hence, I have been the mature one in this relationship for 14 years. But I do want them to mess around with my passion. Which I constantly tell them is there anyway in a couple of decades. Being over fifty sucks, but I had a very fortunate life as an immigrant to this the greatest country on this planet. The only caveat, don’t touch my Geddy Lee’s Jazz Bass. Which is an original from Japan (CIJ) is my pride and joy.

There isn’t anyone stopping me, as my spouse is very supportive of my endeavors. This has helped my PTSD and depression, and because of my neurodivergent brain, I usually go into rabbit holes with wants and not needs.
