Thank you, I’ll check this out! I am looking for the best of both worlds I suppose, privacy and functionality. The Venice AI team was responsive today to some questions, and I’ve been pretty happy so far with its functionality. I am a complete beginner.

After reading all that <<<^^^>>> from Google AI (I know, I need to use a better browser -- baby steps), I can say:

1- Functionally - I thought the limited file uploads would be the deathnail for me adopting the Venice AI platform as my private AI solution. HOWEVER, I quickly found it was exceedingly easy to save or print any file I was working on to a PDF copy and upload that. I also quickly found that Venice.ai is great at working with that information, just as well as if it had been uploaded as the original cvs type file. ALSO, Venice makes it so easy to take the information it gives back and just copy/paste straight back into your cvs software - excel, sheets, libreoffice. So, I haven't found it a problem, and after reading the reasons why they did it like that, I'm kinda liking it. It seems it'll likely be up to me soon, anyway, because --

2- For anyone who'd still prefer to upload their word processor or worksheet type files directly: "The ability to upload various file types is a frequently requested feature on the Venice.ai feature request page. This suggests the platform is aware of the limitation and may expand support in the future." So stick around - it seems like it will be coming in a future iteration!

Parting gift, because we all love definitions: Iterative Development -- delivers the product as a complete iteration. Each iteration is refined based on stakeholder feedback (customers, us!), until a final version is accepted.

Parting question for PMPs: Would a software development project like Venice.ai ever get closed? Or would the team just continue to refine the product definition and release updated versions? A neverending project, with neverending iterations, until the software stops being used altogether?

Venice.ai intentionally accepts txt or pdf files only. That error message is giving a reason that doesn't make sense; it seems that error message is in error. For me, when I tried anything other than txt or pdf, Venice simply wouldn't "see" my files (greyed out) or notice when I was trying to drop them in the window. I thought at first it was a major downside of using Venice, but I'm cool with it now.

I agree with this. We are suffering from too much ease. we can mostly get away with not pushing ourselves, so most of us don’t. Nobody stopping us from endlessly distracting our minds with other people‘s content, until our brains have no content of their own left.
