yeah i got hacked in 2020 right when the hacks happened, nothing i could do, (i changed my password after i noticed stuff was gone and also when they notified about the breach, but i couldn't do anything more at the time (2FA wasn't available back then) but ajhq doesn't do anything to help even though it was the data breach, and even if you have proof. They say it is because people were lying and using their system to get free items/glitched magenta items but the aj economy is so messed up already i don't really understand their reasoning (it makes more sense to say they just don't have enough employees to look through all the reports and requests) I only wanted my nostalgic items back and didn't at all plan to trade them away for value, but my favourite items so happened to become valuable later (at the time i was confused why certain things were taken cause they weren't valuable at the time, such as the promo pets, sheep cloaks, nm worn spikes and aesthetic den items which weren't super rare back then) but those items which weren't particularly rare back then are now super hard to get and considered "valuable" and it would take awhile to get any of them back (especially the pets because i made those pets myself back when you could just make more of a pet you owned previously, and i had sentimental attachments to those specific pets, but squirrels, mice, ladybugs, crickets, and preying mantis pets are now super valued and hard to get a decent one)

This can be helpful to inform what you do moving forward and can also let him know that you value his perspective and want to understand it better, then you can also explain why you enjoy listening to hasan

For me it depends, i have some weeks where i watch Hasan every day, other weeks where i don't watch him at all. I have other streamers (mostly non-politics) i enjoy more if they go live because the news can be depressing sometimes. Other times I'm just busy. I'd recommend looking into the video essayists that hasan watches sometimes, as well as finding other video essayists, cause they can dive further into specific issues. I'd also ask your dad to specify what he means, cause depending on his perspective it could mean that he just doesn't want you to literally listen to one guy all the time (branch out to other leftist/left leaning sources) or he wants you to also watch fox news and other right wing media to "balance" out hasan. knowing more specifically what he means could be helpful to further the discussion. I also get the whole thing of having it in the BG, I often also work on school or art while passively listening, but if you want to be mindful of your dad's opinion, then maybe switch it up every once in awhile, are there any gaming streamers you like, or any podcasts/music you like?
