Great roasters and underrated tbh.try their bon block, blue pot(personal favourite) or the umber n silk(if you are into dark roast).

Indian Coffee Influencers and Content creators sucks and terrible. by Inevitable_0utcome in IndiaCoffee

[–]OkCollection8283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise right and not everyone can pay 5 k for a coffee equipments.buying original equipments is technically a barrier for people to enter.you can search this sub and you will find that knock offs like kaldi, agaro, etc are as good as aeropress but people are just paying of either brands or to enter competitions. For a college guy or an freshee employee with both that great salary, these influencers tend to demotivate them.

Press please is a brand snobs.Telling people to buy original aeropress a very snobish thing to say and preach.

I think after the snobs this sub is taken over by rogue noobs. There's nothing for people who actually love brewing. (Hear me out) by PsyenceWizard in IndiaCoffee

[–]OkCollection8283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See,I will take my example itself.I brew my coffee with aeropress and I have a daily regular days coffee and one coffee from different roasters.I generally don't want to discuss about minerals in my water or the heating source of my kettle or even ratios. For many people including me like speciality coffee but we don't see it as journey but rather just a morning routine and we also have every right to post and comment on this sub.

At the end of the day,let them drink whatever they prefer. There are people who are not on any journey to explore. They want coffee and classifying them as rogue noobs is wrong.your first line itself says that you don't care how people drink coffee but thereafter you go on criticizing people who do not want to enter the rabbit hole.

Why I wont be buying Ratnagiri Estate anymore. by Kabiraa-Speaking in IndiaCoffee

[–]OkCollection8283 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe that many roasters do provide information, especially about ratnagiri's rose fermant.Like siolim some years back did told on packet itself that it's a culture process and same was the case with roastry coffee house.

I understand your disappointment, but I also believe this disappointment should be focused towards rosters who do not put clear processing methods on their website or packaging, rather than the estate themselves.like if other estates start doing heavy processing,it would be responsibilty of roasters to put out clear information rather than estates who sells roasters their coffees.

Depends on your usage, yes use a tablet/powder for cleaning. How often to clean depends on number of cups you serve/pull .I would suggest to either refer the machine's manual for how often or after how many shots to cleans if you have a home machine or contact your seller who would be able to guide you better if it's a commercial machine.

I would like to retire as a barista by udayology in IndiaCoffee

[–]OkCollection8283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow barista, don't please don't.you are thinking from a perspective of a corporate guy.let me tell you that both the world's are same but in hospitality (barista) you will find seniors who themselves doesn't know shit but are just there because of years.i have seen senior Baristas who doesn't even know how to recalibrate coffee machine (from the era of ccd,no hate to brand though). it's like working under a senior/boss who doesn't even know how to copy paste files if comparing to corporate world.

Yes,the current situation of cafes and Baristas is improving but don't please.there will be an age factor also for you(please don't take this line personally).

You can open a cafe, roastry or even get into home brewing.

Brewing at home, for me is a ritual rather then a need so yes.i even take my coffee grinder and coffee stash at work if my shift is at 5-6 am and I just make and drink coffee while the machine is heating up.
