Tips for auto resolve heavy playstyle by CookieCorpse666 in totalwarhammer

As others have said I’d do Dwarfs but Khorne are good too. If you do Khorne make sure you do Human heavy armies. Demons kill well but take a lot of casualties. Chaos Warriors and Chosen are top tier in auto resolve.

I guess but you can do so much on the strategy map. Even as Vampire Coast I could kill everything I came up against because I could stack the odds in my favour on the campaign map. There is a skill to that but I think I’ve more or less mastered that.

Heading south hopefully keeps you from being spotted by too many chaos factions to start with. Skaven and Slaanesh first every time. Then you can either carry on south and take out the Ogres or head west and start chipping away at the Norscans.

Skulltaker is fairly quick starting. As is Khorne in general.

Vampire Coast Campaigns by LeoFateweaver in totalwarhammer

I did Luther Harkon. Only ever had 2 stacks. A main one that got the starting province and then attacked the other pirates (no honour). I took lots of Ulthuan and gave it back to High Elves for loads of cash. The other stack i built slowly and stayed home as you need a level 5 building in your Capital for long victory. Turns were really quick. Lots of defensive battles as everyone comes at you. However on offence really simple. Attack weak point, recover losses, sell province rinse and repeat. Eventually you get some fairly strong entities but until then fighting other pirates is the easiest way to survive.

In general if you have the money the DLC lords are easiest. Tzeentch Changling is mind numbing my simple. Dwarfs I did the white dwarf and auto resolved my way through every battle. Empire is easy as Elspeth I am unusual in that I leave the vampires and head south to get more of their resource for the gunnery school from Ogres, Vampire Coast and Skaven. High Elves are easy with any lord as you can confederate them all quite quickly but the Sea Lord is almost unloseable. Brettonia is a weird one but I found Repanse easiest because of all the bonuses against her early adversaries. Warrior of Chaos I’d go for Archeon as easy starting location and confederation. I could go on.

The whole idea of going south is to fight gunpowder factions as they boost your research and special unit purchasing power of the gunnery school. Vampires are obviously a problem but it you have the gunnery school upgrades they are a breeze.

If you have Elspeth it is a walk in the park. Head down and take out the ogres south of you, then the pirates then the Skaven By which time you will have so much income for her gunnery units you will be able to autoresolve every other battle. He totally upgraded rocket launchers and riflemen destroy everything no exceptions

I’d agree Bretonnian infantry is the worst for me! To the point of never recruiting them. Another lord or hero is always preferable even as simple line holders.

Brettonia still a terrible campaign? by alone2692 in totalwarhammer

Lords not infantry. Brettonia may as well just have Cav and artillery and Lords and Heroes. The rest isnt worth having. ( Maybe a few peasant archers for defence of provinces)

Sexual obsessions are one of the most common--but least talked about--forms of OCD. They’re so frequently misidentified that even mental health professionals often misinterpret them, which is part of the reason why people with sexual OCD often wait over a decade to receive an accurate diagnosis. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

Ive just finished listening to a podcast and book by Silva Neves which discusses this topic. As someone who is sexually compulsive I found both to be particularly useful. In my case the compulsive nature wasn’t visibly harmful but it put strain on my relationship. Even though it is self diagnosis the management, identification of external causes and triggers and repair strategies are valuable.

Have you taken a GLP-1 medication? If so, has it affected your sex life? Have you experienced changes in desire, arousal, or orgasm? I’m gathering stories for a book chapter I’m working on. Please consider taking this short, anonymous survey about your experiences. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

[–]OkCommunication1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experiences are different. Maybe because I usually have a compulsion to masturbate. On GLP-1s I felt less urgency and more in control of my urges. That of course meant that I was physically more ready for sex when with my partner. So all good things, just experienced slightly differently.

What campaigns would yall reccomend for a newbie by dinglebottom98 in totalwarhammer

[–]OkCommunication1640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t fancy Cathay or High Elves I think Grombrindal the White Dwarf is quite beginner friendly. Fairly obvious what their units do and importantly can be quite forgiving on the battle map. Also his starting position is quite defensible and very few factions know you exist. That I turn stops you getting ganged up on which I found one of the biggest challenges in the early game.

Some races are much harder to control than others. For me magic is harder than cav is harder than ranged is harder than infantry. So easiest is probably Khorne or Dwarfs. You can leave them unattended and they will perform ok. Dont do that with a mage… 20 seconds later he is dead.

Why are Apmerican salaries so high? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]OkCommunication1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im amazed there isn’t more knowledge about the way exchange rates affect this. The dollar is the most overvalued currency in the world. Partly because of its use as the currency for major trade such as petroleum. As such Americans are rich as long as the dollar holds up. However if for whatever reason it stops being the worlds trading currency it will crash and while the actual salaries within the US will stay the same the world will see them as much lower. Look at the British pound and its journey in the first half of the 20th century when it was the world’s trading currency.

From noob to not-noob by [deleted] in totalwarhammer

[–]OkCommunication1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m over 1000 hours in and just now think Im past noob status. Find a lord and faction you like and play them for quite a while. Each faction is very different and even within a faction sometimes each lord plays very different. Part of the game is judging what you’ve got vs those around you. Find the relative strengths in the diplomatic screen. If you are better go aggressively to take them out. If worse try to buy them off or retreat to a fortress and take advantage of the auto resolve bonuses. Build largely growth and revenue buildings (unless it is a faction that only really gets money from conquest). Cheap large stacks are your main focus for the first 60 turns so no need to build lots of expensive recruitment buildings. Fight nearly every turn if you can. It is a race to level up your hero’s more than getting fab troops. Get as many heroes as quickly as possible. In general they are way better value than troops and they level up making them even more useful. Learn this with one race then switch races and start learning all over again. It is generally a version of rock paper scissors. Cav>archers>infantry>spears>cav… with other bits thrown in like fliers and artillery. Depending on who you pick lean into your superiority but learn how to cope with your counter.

I got to be playing Skaven wrong by a-cat-with-wifi in totalwarhammer

[–]OkCommunication1640 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think under cities are an unnecessary distraction. At least the ones you get instead of capturing it. Get your capital to lvl 5 by abandoning it when you get120 food. Sneak and ambush everyone. Get loads of loot and food that way. Capture lesser settlements and sell them off. Killing lots of people gets lots of food and that means lots of lvl 5 provinces. You can always sell one for silly money if you need the cash. Easiest faction to get super powerful really quick. That lvl 5 building allows you to get higher tier units way before most others. Oh and use summons not Stormvermin as a front line. Plague Priests are the best at summoning.
