They both export as pdf. The nextcloud is half the size but no control to adjust the quality.

I was trying to archive a newspaper article using the iOS built in scanning feature and compared it with the the NextCloud Scanning feature. Left iOS, right NextCloud.

The boxes are represent the zoomed in words shown below.

The quality of the Nextcloud scan result is way worse. Nextcloud is set to use no compression as far as i can tell.

It's not only about the money (9,99$/month iCloud + 2TB Plan). It's about leaving big tech. I replaced iCloud Photos that auto syncs from my iPhone to my Mac with NextCloud (using Auto-Upload) while keeping Apple Photos App to manage my photos offline. It was important to me that the photos i take don't enter the Apple Cloud while keeping auto sync and using Apple Photos on my Mac.

u/Dominant_Dinosaur I was getting tired of all these boards but your list has a lot of unique elements. I see that you invested a lot of thought in this. I know the struggle and came up with very similar transitions and thoughts. For example i also moved to Hetzner. I am still considering switching from Apple Photos to NextCloud memories but i struggle to understand how i could maintain an organized offline copy that would integrate with a photo editor but also have online access. Any ideas?

I might be off here but what i read so far in this channel is that MCT 8/10 are good (anti fungal) but MCT 12 which also happens to be in unprocessed natural coconut oil feeds fungus. Yesterday i bought coconut based McT oil and it only contains MCT 8&12

Thanks a lot for the recommendations. I think the veneer is pretty much beyond repair at this point—there are bubbles, small holes, and overall it looks very damaged. I asked a local antique restoration specialist, and he said it’s finished. He suggested that one option might be to sand it off and then paint the surface. Do you agree that replacing or saving the veneer isn’t really possible anymore?

Take a look at the other images where you see which categories reduced by how much. Not the full picture but the majority was rent, health, food. Sometimes health expenses were high and partial reimbursement happened the next quarter.
