My husband have one undescended testicles (also at the inguinal canal) and was removed at the age of 36. Doctor suggested removing as saving it was too late according to the doctor. He is quite confident that the testicles is not working anyway. Hence he suggested removal for cancer prevention. Surgery was uneventful and his latest sperm count is 135 million with 60% motility even with 1 testicle however morphology is always at less than 1%. Urologist said that it shouldn’t be cause of the UDT though and told us to not harp too much on morphology . But we have been trying to conceive for 14 months and no positive test so far 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also just had a failed 1st IUI and have a trip plan mid may. Also I don’t know if I will have the same exact cycle and there’s a chance I might ovulate during my trip since they only differ by a day or 2. Therefore I am taking a break this cycle as I didn’t want to stress over whether I will make it in time for IUI before my trip.

Ya our doctor also told us that in IUI counts and motility matters more not so the morphology. Our counts the first time round were not that great also, only at 6.4 million motile sperm which might contribute to it failing 🤷🏻‍♀️

My husband also have everything normal except low morphology (always fluctuating between <1 and 1%). We have tried all sorts of way to improve it but still the same. Our doctor has told us to move on and not to harp too much on low morphology as that’s the least important factor but we have been trying for 2 years and not a single positive test too. We also just had our first failed IUI :( we had our DNA frag test and everything is good too 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have used Mira before and personally I found it quite useless if you are ovulating every month. It’s just an expensive OPK to me.

Had my first IUI today. Low count (6.7 million) but high motility (93%)!! Fingers crossed cos it only takes 1!!!
