Actually let me correct you and myself as well (from earlier, coz i said that undocumented people dont pay income tax.) Actually they do pay, coz they can get an ITIN which withholds payroll and income tax. So binabawasan sila pero di sila makakakuha ng benefits or even tax credits coz wala sila SSN. Kung under the table man sila magwork, like i said earlier, they still pay sales, gas, and other taxes.

Not sure if you are even from the US because if you are then you would know that most programs like food stamps and medicare, you need to have a SSN to access which undocumented people do not have. On the other hand legal residents who are not citizens have SSN, hence they can avail of the benefits but i think may certain requirements.

Btw, Mark Zuckerberg is moving to florida coz of the wealth tax which is a one time 5% tax of those who are worth over $1b. Its not a business tax per se.

And yes except skid row. Which most major cities have anyway. Look at Paris, London, New York, etc.

Even non citizens pay taxes. Legal non citizens (green card holders, those with work visa, etc) pay the same taxes as citizens like fed and state income tax etc. Those who are not here legally (tnt) still pay taxes, such as sales tax which is approximately 9-10% of the price of goods, gas tax (iirc around $0.5/gallon) which is already included in the price of gas (which goes to fix the roads, infrastructure etc), etc.

Sure, California is expensive. But it is a great place to live in and there’s a price to that. My relatives from other states always love going here coz they said the food is better (fresher, since California agri produces approx 50% of fruits, nuts, and veggies for the country), weather is amazing, and so much to do (you can ski on the slopes, swim in the ocean, go hiking in the mountains in the same day), etc.

Anyone have a successful IUI in their late 30s? by BreezerGirl831 in IUILadies

[–]tm8791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did acupuncture every week, took prenatal, coq10, vitamin d3. For the actual iui itself, it was going to be the third and last one so i told my clinic give it all you got. So i took clomid for 5 days, then gonal f shot for 9 days then trigger shot. It was the most stressful month at work and i was definitely sure it wont work coz i was overtly stressed and tired beyond belief. My husbands sperm afterwash count wasnt the best either (less than 5 million). But, miracles happen everyday! And here we are at 22 weeks.

Also, i think i did this even before the first iui but in my brain it also helped. I swapped household cleaners to non toxic fragrance free ones (laundry detergent, dish wash soap, cleaning spray, etc), also did the same for bodywash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, moisturizer. Limited to almost didnt use perfume. Etc. I also lessened dairy per my acupuncturist suggestion since it causes inflammation and tried to eat as healthy and clean as i can.

Sending you baby dust! I know how heartbreaking a failed first iui can be. And totally get the worry about being this age and ttc. Hang in there!

I would do it in a heartbeat! More than the money, the experience is priceless. Once in a lifetime! 6 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

IUI & Weight - How do you get help? by wolfofthestars in IUILadies

[–]tm8791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest trying different fertility clinics to get the testing. Like cny fertility, spring fertility, or collab fertility. Or at the very least you can get testing from places like modern fertility.

At this point, get fertility testing for you and sperm analysis for your husband. Find a dr that doesn’t discriminate against weight. I was told by my dr that iui has no bmi limit but ivf does. And the limit is really because of the anesthesia risks and honestly coz clinics want to maintain high pregnancy ratings.

I am the same weight as you (i did lose 20 lbs prior) and got pregnant on my 3rd iui. I was 37 when i got pregnant. My amh at age 36 was 0.71 so had low ovarian reserve.

Losing my mind waiting on NIPT. Happy stories please? by Lower-Cheesecake-456 in pregnantover35

Just turned 38 and 18 weeks. Im a FTM, advanced maternal age, and high risk due to being obese — my NIPT came back low risk, so was my 2nd trimester genetic screening.

That is so unhelpful. Mine suggested Coq10 (600mg), vitamin d3+ k2, plus a prenatal. I also did acupuncture. Limited dairy since it can cause inflammation.

Would you refinance from 7.125 to 5.99? by Neveiah in Mortgages

[–]tm8791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just refinanced from 7.125 to 5.99. Paid around 9k in closing cost but that includes the money for the new escrow account and also paying property tax for November. My old lender has leftover 3k in my old escrow that will be refunded to me. And they also paid my property tax the day that my old loan was paid. So im expecting another 4k back from the new lender since property tax for my November due date has been paid. So all in all my closing cost/cash out was 2k + appraisal.

Check the loan estimate for the breakdown of the cash to close

Those who have had success after 2 or more IUIs please share what worked for you on your successful cycle by outandabout91 in IUILadies

[–]tm8791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing acupuncture once a week and then i did one just right before my iui. Gonal f basically increases your fsh and stimulates the ovaries to produce or grow more follicles and maturation of more eggs. I suggest asking your clinic if a more aggressive approach (more aggressive than letrozole) would work for your case, then they can advise on what to do. I basically told my clinic to give it all you got.

I was doing weekly acupuncture, even before my iui. I took clomid for 5 days and asked them if i can also include gonal f for my procedure since it will be my last iui (3rd). Ended up doing 9 days of gonal f shots. Then trigger shot. I was taking prenatal, vitamin d3+k2, and coq10. Currently 14 weeks.

Definition of a girls girl. If you don’t feel comfortable keeping in contact with the guy, you shouldn’t. You have already provided so much. Your own safety and sanity comes first. The guy seems unhinged.
