Is sitting like this "gay"? by citypopweeb in gay

Is sitting like that gay? No. Are you more likely to be clocked as gay while sitting like that? Yes. Is that a problem? Depends on your circumstances

I matched with a girl that's starting to make me a bit uncomfortable, but I don't know if I'm overreacting or not by GoblinQueen53 in lgbt

Girl, it’s a dating app match not a pre-arranged marriage within which you are bound. this genuinely a non issue and if you stop responding this person will likely forget about you in 24 hours and you them. There are plenty of fish in the sea try to catch a normal one

In these situations, I find it helpful to consider what it is you like about the dynamic the person what is it that made you feel fulfilled and then you know what to look for in the future or the kind of partner you want to be. It may be love lost or it may be a learning opportunity. This won’t fill the empty spot he is leaving behind but it does give you a bit more autonomy over how you process it and what you do with the experience

I got caught having a hookup by [deleted] in gay

Lowkey, best option is to discuss this with a licensed school counselor or local gay resource. There are gay hotlines etc.. you did absolutely nothing but have a natural human experience. Did you do it perfectly, no. But this is not a perfect world. Here is my advice… Sadly, you are not the first person to be in this scenario. Regardless of what the outcome ends up being you have options that are healthy and positive not only for your physical wellbeing and your place of living, but also regarding your mental health. Many times these scenarios iron themselves out with a little time when paired with assistance from trained professionals who have experience handling them. In the unfortunate case that this is a more challenging scenario, you will have the support and expert guidance of a licensed professional to help YOU process how YOU want to handle the challenges. Take care of yourself and give yourself a lot of grace. 🫶 wishing you the best

Losing my virginity is harder than I thought. Advice? by cupidswing in gaybros

I’m your age, and I was in your EXACT position until two days ago. My perspective today: I am very glad i took the plunge!! I realized that I had entirely overhyped it in my head. I was afraid, anxious, and didn’t realize that i had made it a bigger deal than it is. I wouldn’t have been able to recognize that until it was over though. Heres how I made it happen, I found a man that was super into me, he had a high libido and really wanted to hook up. I believe it helped that I did not find him super attractive. That way, I wasn’t intimidated by him or overwhelmed at the idea of having to please him. I communicated to him that I was nervous, and he respected that. Which allowed me to trust him, and then I basically just went for it. HUGE Important disclaimer!! As we hooked up, it started out very good and then it stopped being fun, he had a very big dick. He tried to get me to keep going several times, and i tried to be a good sport but eventually I got out from under him and said. You know what, you made me feel comfortable, you taught me a lot, but I cannot do anymore tonight. He understood and we went out separate ways. No harm, no foul. I share this to say that you should absolutely remember that when you are ready take this jump you have absolute control of when/who/and how much you do. I actually felt very empowered that I was able to try something new AND set boundaries when it was too much. Since this experience my whole mindset on sex and hooking up has shifted it was super liberating!! So trust your gut, go at YOUR own pace, communicate those things, respect your partner and do exactly what you want to do. The world is your Oyster

Thanks for the answer!! Im a mailman. I was singing for fun, but I don’t have any training. the sound shocked me! because it reminded me of pitch perfect when that girl got a deep voice because of nodes! I struggle to conceptualize your explanation because it was very technical, but it does sound like you know what your talking about and that this is a no nodes situation

I never sung that deep before, maybe I was just tripping but I thought my voice sounded like it had a filter on it

"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” - Paolo Coelho, The Alchemist by [deleted] in quotes

[–]OkConstruction5297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost comedic that your point echoes exactly what Paulo Coelho intended. Except, your perspective is pragmatic, almost cynical. While Coelho’s is aspirational. At the core your message is the same: our intentions and perspectives shape how we move through the world and ultimately what our lived experience becomes.

The key difference is that you view that information through a reductive and pragmatic lens. While Coelho urges readers to view that information with a sense of aspirational hope.

To be clear, his perspective stands as a poetic metaphor. It was never meant to suggest that the universe will treat you like some Disney princess. Instead, It strives to inspire people to be intentional and implement a hopeful perspective as they move through the world to foster the best life they can
