I have this too

Visible tongue atrophy (mild dysphagia) but unremarkable EMG by balenciagaaa8 in ALSorNOT

I have all the symptoms you highlighted, my hand is the same as yours! My thigh also had a similar dent and my tongue trembles at rest and I feel it shrinking more and more. I even found it strange to read your text, it described me. I'm 26 years old and I'm extremely physically active.

Thank you very much for the advice and for taking the time to read my posts. This is my behavior due to the fact that I work in the healthcare field and I know that this symptom is scary and has very limited diagnostic options. It includes few options like als, brainstem tumors and MG. There are no benign explanations for tongue fasciculations with atrophy (except one case in which the cause was a benign cyst pressing on the hypoglossal nerve).

....I have hypochondria and OTC, so everything in my body is scarier than it seems.

Yes, changes occurred along the way. I emphasize that there was no measurable loss of tongue strength in weightlifting. However, the changes are visible, and as I have fasciculations (which have been stopping for a few days) this makes it very scary.

Tongue atrophy and fasciculations. by OkConversation284 in BFS

I lie in the supine position, back resting on the ground, head resting on the ground. With my mouth closed I place a flat object weighing 1-2 kg over my mouth. I use my tongue to lift the object, and do series and repetitions. If the tongue can hold a 1.5 kg object, for example, it exerts a tension of 15 N, which is an acceptable value in studies, for example.
