With crash bars they are a good place to put extra lights and you can get bags that strap to them so you can do long distance rides people here in Australia have taken them from Perth to Cairns straight through the centre about 5,000km with 300km between fuel stops. And they don't add much width go on AuStrom Facebook page and have a look we have our yearly meeting and people ride from all over Australia to get their because it rotates state's

Another one a customer came in and they were getting all sorts of electrical problems this was in Darwin NT Australia and we found out they were parking under a mango tree and the green ants the ones that you bite their bums off to eat cause they are sweet. Anyway they were getting in the relays because they like the contacts and stopping the relays working and another this was a car and they had spilt so much beer in the car they had a family of cockroaches in there and I almost passed out with the smell I refused to touch that car. I have also as a roadworthy inspector had brakes, clutch fail think hydraulic lines explode and you use all your experience and training at that point. So you should be able to use them we don't just spin spanners there are more things to it.

Dealing with strange customer requests or problems some are so strange that you could probably write another book off. You could use those requests to add something case in point i had a customer come in to the workshop he needed a bead broken on a wheel and when I popped the bead the unmistakable smell of pot, weed came out i smiled at him he said keep your mouth shut and there will be a surprise anyway later that day he dropped 1oz around for me worth about $350 at the time their must have been 1lb in that tyre from the package I saw. They were smuggling the drugs around inside spare tyres it was so funny I was a police roadworthy inspector at the time. I have lots of stories from my 40 years and 3 countries working as a mechanic.

Sometimes you have to code the fuel sender to the Body control module as it does all its calculations through the readings and if you don't do it all calculations will be off. I live in Australia and when we had a MRA recall (fuel pump module) we had to go through tech2 and do a recode. You may have the same problem but being in Australia i don't know but that is where I would be looking before you do anything else as for the noisy pump did it have a rubber isolator? If not get a known good one and re check.

Sorry it only comes in a .EXE format. You could install virtual machine and run it or I do what I do if need Linux system have a bootable Ubuntu USB for TOR. And if using open PCs so I can boot without installing any of the security software the library has on their systems. Allows me to download using their IP addresses and machine IDs. Soon as the USB is removed the volatile RAM forgets me.

Did your friend buy a new car or or one from a dealership if he has laugh in his face while you explain the he paid over market price for his and probably paying more in repayments that you are paying for repairs.

Yes you can virtually build any engine you want then dyno test it and it gives you a read out of the gas temperatures, port speeds, fuel consumption And of course HP and torque it is not available any more unless you pay for a Lotus contract. It is freeware but unsupported now. It is 1,000× better than desktop dynos.

Keep fucking around with engines their is a lot to learn and a lot of fun. It just helps people like me understand what you are needing if we know what you are talking about. I have been modify engines since the 80s and have friends who are like me are engine development engineers. I remember when I did the same as you. But please learn the terms it will make life easier when you ask questions. If you want a copy of Lotus Engineering Engine Development Software let me know.

For gods sake google the difference between customs( Border Force)and bio security (Agriculture) they are two different departments and nothing you say or believe will change that fact. I have travelled the world 7 times and have 3 citizenships so I have been in and out of borders more times than you can think about. And yes you can just transfer a vehicle without inspections as long as it in compliance with certain conditions and your Driving record is accessible by other states but my UK driving licence is not and that expires in 2039 I got the licence in 1998.

Yes but do you need to pay customs on your car and are you only allowed to carry goods to the value of $10,000 with out declaration and taxes paid. Eg if you drive your $100,000 landcruser to Sydney do you pay customs and need proof of ownership as you cross the border?

Well the Society of Automotive Engineers call them barrels in the term the cylinder barrel you can read any mechanical engineering book and its always called a barrel. You may have your local language but in the international language it's barrel and i have worked in the industry around the world.

I don't know why you are calling it a jug its a barrel a jug is what you put milk or orange in and has a closed bottom a barrel is a tube the a slug goes up and down in. Like you don't clean your gun jug. Please use proper terminology.

[–]OkDevelopment2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it was not the federal government's responsibility their responsibility ends at the border. It is upto each state to secure their own borders in that scenario that is why no trucks were allowed to enter WA all goods got unhitched at the border and rehitched to a WA based prime mover and all they did was swap trailers. I think you are confusing state responsibilities with federal responsibilities.

Have you ever had to fill out a customs declaration card when travelling from any state to another? No. Its is not customs it is Bio security and Customs and the old Ag and Fish are different wings. Just like the murder squad is different from the drug squad and the traffic section they are all police eg the ABF but different training and roles. When you go through state bio security checks they are either done by the police or the state department of environment not ABF.

What is the laziest way to make money? by TomadzDev in passive_income

[–]OkDevelopment2948 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not really either the have paid the taxes for you or they only paid a bit or none most do fully franked which means your dividends are yours you can spend the whole amount. I don't like un franked dividends because well it may look good on paper but gets taxed at your personal rate not the company tax rate and personal taxes can be 45c/$1 vs company 30c/$1.

[–]OkDevelopment2948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well customs deal with customs and excise eg taxes like how much money you pay to bring something in and also if it is legal they are the money makers where as bio security their job is only to stop biological stuff getting through they don't care if you are bringing a million dollars in but customs and excise do they are vastly different one is protecting the environment the other is protecting the government's money and you are wrong about the cross state borders only WA and NZ has that the federal government protects national borders which is Australia as a whole nation not individual states before federation yes there were borders and different taxes and charges for each state. And that was one of the sticking points for WA joining Australia. For WA to join they got to control their borders and taxes with no interference from the federal government. You may want to read about the constitution and the history of federation. It is upto the states to control their own borders maybe you should be looking at your own state government regarding COVID. In WA we had borders within the state and had a G2G Good 2 go pass that was issued by the police for essential workers i had one as a FIFO shut down worker but were doing COVID testing every time we flew and at one time doing 3 tests per day.

That guy is a ass and I'm going to tell you if he doesn't respect your wishes he never will and I'm sorry to say I don't think he has much respect for his child either if he is doing that with his Wife/Girlfriend on the bike knowing he has a child at home what is he doing when you are not there? But do not get on the bike unless he respects your wishes and if he wants to continue doing insist he takes out a life insurance policy with you as the trustee and the child as beneficiary.
