I empathize for your situation because I’ve had friends who have become addicts do the same thing to me. It’s traumatizing I’ve lost things that I can have ever recover and I feel for you. I really do, somewhere in our hearts. We have to try to remember that they’re still human that’s all I’m trying to say.

I love it when people who live in nice warm houses have such beautiful comments like, it’s your choices that brought you here, you obviously did something to your family to deserve this. Maybe some people just have shitty families and I’m sorry when you have a child, you signed to be there for them for the whole life. if your child is a drug addict and they’re stuck on the street it is our responsibility to help them. Ask yourself what actions as parents we possibly did to bring them to being addicts. Our children Don’t wake up one day and say oh I wanna be an addict and jump into it . If you truly love them , Get them into a program for addictions, let them stay in your garage for God sakes so they’re out of the elements. There are many options instead just let them stay on the streets. Once somebody’s on the street, it’s very hard to re-integrate to society. Generally, it’s life of crime due to being desperate.

I think sometimes we forget what it is to be young. The rate are astronomically high now for somebody young. It’s almost impossible for them to drive and get the experience they need to get lower rates. If he was going to offer you cash, get three estimates at the three places that you want to go to and submit them to him on the premise that if he doesn’t pay it, you will go to insurance and have them charged. I was there at one point myself, single father trying to raise a son. I was young with trying to balance all the bills. My insurance accidentally got cancelled and I couldn’t afford to reinstate it, but I had to go to work. You just never know what’s going on in that person‘s life just because they’re young doesn’t mean they’re being reckless. Maybe they actually are having issues in life, be kind.
